Please tell me you at least have it running through an oil filter....
Multiple flushes till oil isn't milky white anymore, with just a few cranks, then new filter and oil. My latest save

Put the used oil into containers you do not want, write "Used Oil" on them and leave them at the front door of the auto parts store when they're closed. They'll just stack 'em by the drums and dump them when there is room. In most states they are required to take used oil, claiming full tanks is irrelevant.

Burn pile works great....according to a friend
I clear lots of brush here. I use old oil to burn it.

Like I said in the OP it's usually not an issue....just drive up to an auto parts store, go in and dump it.

There's a service station/mechanic shop near me that has taken mine in the past with no problems. I've probably disposed of well over 100 gallons of oil at his place over the years between doing my own oil changes on 3 vehicles and the many gallons of old/used peanut oil from frying turkeys.
I do throw some business his way when any repairs are needing specialized equipment or tools, or I just flat don't feel like tackling it. I also recommend him to anyone needing mechanic work done on their vehicles.

Think the issue is that it is difficult to tell if someone is joking on a board like this.
We all know that this state still has a lot of thoughtless idiots who would do that in a heartbeat. If you say anything, you are a liberal communist.
