To each his own, as i read these threads i cant help but think maybe I'm different in regards to spending money after retirement. I'm curious if anyone else feels the same. I'm 56 and about to pull the trigger, but i'm just looking forward to the freedom of doing what i want everyday instead of pulling the plow for someone else. The shiny things don't have the appeal anymore as I've owned the boats , trucks, and other toys that have lost there luster. I look at these expensive toys and only see the maintenance and upkeep that comes with them. Getting off that hamster wheel and enjoying the small things in life like spending time with grands; and working on my little projects in my workshop seem like heaven. I get the security aspect; but i also know I'm more than halfway to that hunting blind in the sky as well.
Thx, will give the library a shot
Anyone have experience using public libraries for 3d scanning a object to get an stl file? Or know of a business close to prairieville that does? What's the cost?

Following; mine crapped out last week, looked up the price of a new Blaze fridge, thinking of replacing with cheap big box store models as mentioned in above post. Kind of like outdoor TVs. :dunno:
Dont mount it on floor! You will be on your knees flushing it once a year, ask me how I know, got 2 of them. Plumb a drain pipe tying into sewer line, ac drain line or outside so you can dump vinegar after flushing, much easier than carrying full bucket of it down a attic ladder. Also if you got well water, a good home water filter help reduce scaling. My 2 cents
Then you are good to go, maybe a few filament dryers especially if your using PETG or TPU enjoy
Just got an X2D a few weeks ago, the tech has come a long way since we bought a Creality during covid.

A few things with 3d printing: Its good be have strong troubleshooting skills when dealing with feeding issues issues and clogs as you learn your way around. TinkerCad is awesome for first timers to play around with as beginners CAD program although it may do everything I'll ever need design. Buy a set of cheap digital calipers for designing, you will be working in MM most of the time. Tons of fun to design custom features and play around with on rainy days and printing stuff while your at work or sleeping.

Had an old baw at work tell me to spray the wires with white lithium grease spray, they wont chew any more wires. Says they do that when they store equipment where that's a problem. :usa:

Picked up our families usual Wed evening, crazy busy for midweek, not a parking place anywhere, only thing missing is a drive thru, lol. Well run, extremely clean, and well mannered youthful staff. Love the free pizza every now and then for the habitual order patrons. :usa:

re: Wader recommendations

Did some digging awhile back on this, came up with High n Dry waders. So far so good, time will tell. Went back and forth with them via email to make sure fit was right. Excellent service. Got tired of buying a $300-$400 new set every year because they were crap.

re: Pocket knives???

Kershaw whirlwind, bought 2 because I get use to opening them and hate switching to another knife. Ofcourse they discontinued them. I've abused them, blown tips off jumping across solenoids in a bind, sharpening them past serrations, but i just love them. Down to my last one.
Discount tire Prairieville = excellent service. Order online, get what you want.

Enjoyed this Iron Maiden cover with the photography. Beautiful scenery, need to try to put something together like this myself in our swamp. On another note ,just refreshed our cameras and noticed the antennas were faded, need to get with yall on that.

Deep in the Maurepas swamp right off of the long straight muddy ditch , is where I find peace, mixed with pain.

Tried this method this weekend, I liked it. Able to do yard work, and let them smoke low and slow without all the wrapping ect. Will do again.
Mine was a filter problem as well, same name brand recommended by manufacturer wouldn't work, dropped water pressure = no ice, cheaper filter, back in business, of course I discovered this after I defrosted the fridge and tore it all apart

Are yall going to try the fenbendazole/ivermectin meds? I see many promising stories saying it worked.

Going to a seminar tonight in BR for this , for my mom that is looking for hail Mary with cancer. Any one here heard of : Whole Life regenerative cell factors
Healing-Revolution. Com
Cancer cowboys of Texas
? Doing my level best on research on these folks. Wishing I could unleash the TD online detectives to make sure this company is on the up and up. Trying to make sure people aren't taking advantage of people looking for hope.

Prayers for you and your family, if i find some promising news , I'll share.
Had some discussion at work with hunters about rats chewing wires on ATVs in the off-season, they said they spray wires with white lithium grease, no more problems.

Might give these a try next time I buy a set, definitely tough to find some that last more than a season.
