You're conflating private business with gov't.

Of course they did, or they can leave Florida's ports.

I'm doing nothing of the sort. You are neither the government or the private business.

I fricking hate weak republicans who don't fight for what's right.

In almost every case, the “weak Republicans” who won’t fight are actually shrewd Republicans whose constituency would punish them for it.

Take the Maine Senators for example. They might not be RINOs. They might just be realists who realize that the Maine Senator can only vote so conservative and remain the Maine Senator.

Cassidy?
Romney?
Sasse?
Portman?
Cheney?

We’re in a war. And there’s way too many people who consider themselves Republicans who are content to manage the decline of our freedoms.

He called them weak. Is Cassidy weak? He took a very principled position on the June 6 riot. You might not agree with it, but it was anything but weak. It will probably cost him politically.

Similar story on Romney, but calculating instead of principled. Romney desperately wants to be President. He correctly calculated that his only chance lay in the defeat of Trumpism. He’s also a centrist, not a conservative. Anyway, weakness does not explain Romney.

Nope. He wanted to keep in the flow of pork projects and kickbacks. He will do what he thinks is in his best personal interest.

This was my point almost exactly.

You’re using weakness differently than the other poster. If you want to define political expediency that ignores your constituents as bravery that makes your posts make a lot more sense.

That’s pretty much the definition of weakness.

Truth. Trump has as much of a cult (or more even) than Fauci does with of those that praise and fawn over him. I supported Trump and voted for him the first go around but he proved to be just another politician and his last few months in office were just sad.

This post tells me trump lost the low iq voters. Sad!

If you're a pearl clutching lefty aghast at a protest (ironically), it's principled

Surely there isn't an actual school of thought amongst us here that advocates for no government regulation at all.

Not that I’ve seen. Did you want to make a point?

Did I want to make a point beyond what's in the rest of the post? No, I don't guess so.

The bulk of your post, the first paragraph, was you beating on a straw man. The second paragraph basically just said “some regulation is good”. Was there anything else?

I think you're probably overthinking that. It was a literal question/curiosity for which I sought some feedback. But label what you will, no biggie.

Exactly. You made a point, I made a counterpoint. Seems like pretty straightforward procedure.
