Trump wasn't that great bro. He spent 99% of his time jacking around in a hissy fit with the fake news. He was as distracted by them as the zombies. He left quite a lot undone.

It’s weird that the right is no longer "business rights" and if you don’t like it go somewhere else. No more party defending the cake baker. I mean I don’t like the idea of Covid passports either but a business should be allowed to set their own rules.

Truth. Trump has as much of a cult (or more even) than Fauci does with of those that praise and fawn over him. I supported Trump and voted for him the first go around but he proved to be just another politician and his last few months in office were just sad.

It's just a different analysis altogether. Cake baker asserted that his actions/policy were protected under theory of free exercise of religion and religious beliefs.

Cruise lines' covid vaccination policy/requirements and Desantis' efforts to curtail them don't involve those types of issues.

Cool. Still involves big government stepping in telling a business what rules they can and can’t have for themselves.

Well, I don't necessarily disagree, but again, there are significant distinctions to be made. For instance if a business wishes to display offensive, racist decor inside the business, I'd say they have the freedom to do so under the First Amendment. On the other hand if that business has a policy of forbidding black people from entering its doors, that's not gonna fly nor should it IMO.

**Point being, there are legitimate bases for government to intervene in the affairs of private business, IMHO. Yet in other instances, government has no right to do so.

Why should we be celebrating a government dictating to a private entity how they should conduct their business? I thought we were conservatives.

That isn't even remotely close to what's going on here.

That's exactly right, because I didn't intend for it to be. That was commentary on the very broad topic of where government should have the ability to intervene and where it should not.

When companies get too powerful, they have the ability to affect individual liberty. This law is good as it promotes liberty and not the powerful.

You have the individual liberty to not go on that cruise. Just like the gay couple had the liberty to go to a different baker. Just like you’re free to not patronize any business you don’t agree with. Or is going on a cruise a right?

So your saying that it's up to the government to protect us from the evil and oppressive cruise line industry?

I kept receipts.

It’s really fun to make fun of people close to me who I know voted for Gillum

I have some extremely stupid relatives. If we weren't related, I'd never talk to them.
