The one I have now has run it’s course and I’m looking for something more ergonomically pleasing

I need enough space for 2 monitors + laptop. I don’t want to spend more than a few hundred, but if it fits what I need, I’ll go for it

Preferably not an L or R shaped desk. I would like to have drawers as well.

What does the OT use?

Office Depot - Clifford Place Desk

I have a center mounted monitor stand, with 3 27" monitors in a 3 horizontal setup. Works great for me. Plenty of room for stuff and its not huge.

This minimalist desk set up is really popular right now. I did something similar with my desk. LINK

Ikea Alex Drawer unit + Ikea Karlby Countertop you can modify it to make and L if you want.

The Tony Montana desk and matching chair, of course.

I just have a straight wooden desk with a pull out keyboard slot. Something that fits and can’t get too cluttered. 2 monitors and a laptop. For me lighting and chair are more important than the desk. Don’t get something too big, you won’t be able to move it elsewhere. I also have a small portable desk to move to other rooms of the house so I don’t lose my fricking mind.

I just bought a standing desk from Flexispot and it fits my laptop and 2 monitors (although one is turned vertical). It doesn’t have drawers, but I don’t need them. It is programmable to 3 different heights if you want to stand or sit. I really like it so far.

I have a Sauder something or other I bought on clearance for a couple hundred bucks. Assembly wasn't bad, finish is decent, the desk is fairly durable.

What's wrong with L or R-shaped desks? I'm really interested, tell me. I spent months looking at desks from the eurekaergonomic.com catalog to finally choose one of the models. I was specifically looking for an L-shaped desk without drawers because it's the perfect work-and-play space for me. And now, when I see such hate for tables of this shape, I'm confused. How is a huge oak desk with six drawers better than a minimalist desk with a large work surface?
