Don't give away your secret spot. There might be 1200 boats out there instead of 1000.

Definitely NOT me

The number of boats out there will be amazing. Might go fire up my portable VHF and listen to pompoms all day.

I'll be out there also. Leaving out of GI. AJ's and Grey Trigger Fish still open this weekend so good weekend to load up on a few things together while out there.

I'm heading out of Theriot. I have found several WWII wrecks that are snapper hot spots. I will be in the west SS and east EI areas on both Sat. and Sunday.

Best place to be imo farther run keeps the knuckleheads away.

I'm hoping that travel sports being back will tone things down from last year. Folks were everywhere on the water last year.

Should be pretty easy to top of the box after snapper with AJ's and Beeliners. Good luck and stay safe to all Y'all getting out there this weekend!

Opening day for snapper has turned into opening of duck season. Great day to sit at the dock and watch the guys that have not touched the water in a year. With a beer or 12, of course.

Its been 10 years since I sold my offshore boat. Usually one or twice a year, friends of those I took out diving and fishing call me asking to give them the coordinates and my answer was no.

It took me 25 years and a lot of fuel to find this stuff and everyone just wants the numbers. I haven't told anyone but all I needed was an invitation to go fishing and the numbers would be handed over to the first one who did. A lot of stuff is oilfield debris but I also have the location of 4 merchant ships torpedoed by U-boats during WWII.

Well back in April, I was talking to the owner of an offshore boat about all this stuff I had and the next words out of his mouth was "lets go fishing when snapper season opens up, my treat."

I got the call Wed. to bring the numbers for one or two spots because we are going fishing Sat. and Sun.

I would never want to go in the boat parade. I really wish they had weekday non holiday times to fish for them. I guess I'll stick to trout and reds, water has to be perfect... like it is now for me to go out in my 23ft bay boat.

Gonna Hit the rip out of Venice and catch our limit of the endangered red snapper on the way in. Can’t wait to deal with the boat parade out there...
