I’ve been going to Nola at least once a year most of my life but this trip i’m going to try and break away from the places we always hit (willie maes, emerils, port of call and commanders palace). Any recommendations for dinner and drinks would be helpful!

One night go to Lilette for dinner and Bouligny Tavern for drinks. Right next to each other.

ETA: Another good pairing would be The Delachaise for drinks(bottle of champagne and frites)and then Costera for dinner. Easy uber or streetcar rides.

For drinks go hit up some of the roof top bars around the city when the weather is nice. ACE Hotel, NOPSI, Hot Tin, etc.

Barrel Proof is a great little place for scotch and bourbon tasting.

Go hear music and drink at DBA.

Also on nice weather days, Tchop Yard, Wrong Iron, and Bayou Beer/Wine garden are great spots.

My current favorite place is Marjie's. They opened a new place called Seafood Sally's on Oak St that was awesome as well. Would highly recommend both.

If Que Pasta is doing the food, her stuff is awesome, but also great spot to wait for a table or go before/after dinner at Blue Giant.

Anybody been to Jewel of the South in the Quarter? How is it?

Was pretty damn impressed with what Rusty Nail has done with Sidecar. Food isn't going to blow anyone away, but it is a great hangout spot.

Cellardoor if you can get in the courtyard.

Claret is a different little courtyard too.

The Vintage to have a spot where you can people watch.

Cavan's from patio has become a favorite, glassman talked about Lilette then Bouligny which is a great combo, I would say Cavan then Bouligny if you might not want something quite as upscale as Lilette.

Great cocktails, kinda pricey. They also have a chef that does one thing each night, and it's always good.

Excellent. I haven’t been to NOLA in 18 months cause of the covid rules so I’ll be taking my wife out to cocktail hour there next month. Don’t mind pricey for a special occasion.
