If that’s the one at BR Bone and Joint, other physicians have told me to avoid him.

No tricep function
that was my WTF moment that sent me from:
"it's probably just a pinched nerve or something stupid"
to "OK, now I'm a little scared"
biceps and triceps would turn on/off for no reason at random times

Eiserloh did my back surgery (microlaminectomy) in 2006 and I’ve been pain free since. I know it’s not a neck procedure but I highly recommend him regardless.

Kevin McCarthy at Bone & Joint Clinic or Kelly Scrantz at NeuroMedical Center. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I had c6-7 fusion 20 years ago. Can't look up, or lean head back as far, but only slightly less.
I don't know if they still do this, but my Dr. was an orthopedic spinal specialist and he gave me the option of using my own bone (taken from the front, outer "wing" of the pelvis) or cadaver bone, because there is a slight chance of my body rejecting foreign bone. So, not wanting to take any chance on having to have another surgery, I picked my own bone. The post op pain from the procedure on my hip bone was bad.
If I had to do it again, I'd definitely opt for donor bone.

Either gonna be disc replacement or fusion of neck vertebrae.
It won’t be either/or. They’ll remove all of the disc at 6/7, put bone graft there, and a plate with screws. An ACDF.

Don’t limit yourself to BR

This is one of my dilemmas. I thought disc replacement would be “easier” but surgeon I talked to today told me that’s not an option as my arthritis and DJD in my neck is too severe, so he recommended fusion. I’m unclear as to how long recovery for either procedure actually is.
But I got some good practical anecdotal evidence here as well as the suggestions I was looking for.
Thanks all.

Scrantz did mine. C5-c7 fusion. Also did my wife’s lower back. Both went well. No issues.
