Post Covid smells

Any idea why gasoline and coffee grounds smell the same, yet neither smell the same as before??
This is definitely the worst part...had it last June.
Can anyone relate to this weird combo? Or anything else? It’s quite interesting if not annoying.

I definitely have some smells that are off. Unfortunately coffee is one of them. Gasoline smells the same.
The worst part is some cooked proteins smell differently. Pulled pork has a strange smell now but pork chops don't.

My gf still has muted taste. She had covid back in Feb/March of 2020

Every now and then, when I put my shirt on, I’ll get this weird sulfuric smell as the shirt goes over my face. Never happened before COVID.
I had it last June and it still happens, although it’s rarer now.

garlic smells and tastes weird. the aftertaste is especially weird.

I had it in November. A lot of things smell like a burnt hair/burnt coffee combo and some things even taste that way. While other things smell just like they always did.

Mine lasted over two months and it's still probably only 85-90% back. Definitely the freakiest part of the whole thing.

I had Covid in April 2020. My sense of taste and smell is still not right. If I can smell it, it smells different. Taste is getting better which means smell is getting better too I guess. Muted is the word. China is asshoe.

Yeh... it’s like most things that are roasted have an odd smell. Almost sulphur like I guess, maybe even bitter. Coffee is the most disappointing. Just started smelling my own farts again.

I still can’t smell certain things. And some things, like regular Coca Cola, taste like complete shite now. Almost all soft drinks taste outdated to me.

The sulphur smell seems accurate. I had been describing it as like onions. It's crazy

Went fishing in the mangroves in the bays around Cancun... it was frickin awful.
I’m sure it smelled like a saltwater marsh, which I’ve smelt hundreds of times.... this was just another level. Getting better slowly, but surely. I also, have to get up on candles to smell them.... like alarmingly close to the flame.
My wife put some patchouli on the other day and that was disgusting as well. Anything floral is kind of bad too.
