There is no loss in value. They still live in one of, if not the most, exclusive areas.
You seriously believe there will be no loss of value with increased helicopter flights over the homes?

Are you aware of how often helicopters land and takeoff from major hospitals?

Unless that is actually what is being claimed, which Scruffy will be very surprised about, but major hospitals receive flights at least a few times daily and nightly.

Look, Scruffy doesn’t disagree that any suit like this looks terrible, but if this hospital didn’t obtain proper permits and it is screwing with the welfare of the surrounding citizens, that is incredibly fricked up.

They shouldn’t get a pass just because they are a children’s hospital.

But they get to hide behind the welfare of sick kids. So screw tax paying residents, as well as any laws, codes, or regulations they violated.

There was a big deal made when that helicopter went into service because it was named for a young girl whose family was high society NOLA. I believe she was killed in an ATV accident,
It was a great way to honor her and now folks are in an uproar.
Think of it this way you ingrats - every time you hear that helicopter fly, it is probably saving a child’s life.

Three pages and surprised no one has yet weighted in on the Brunos, who are fairly well known in the NOLA legal community.

I would bet my house that their property values have risen since the helicopter pad has moved.

This hospital averages just over 2 flights a day.

HOW DARE CHILDREN HAVE SERIOUS MEDICAL CONDITIONS AT RANDOM TIMES DURING THE DAY!!!

THINK OF THE PROPERTY VALUES!!!

Well, 2 is less than 17 so I guess he is right as well.

Thirty minutes potentially every few weeks?

It’s an active helicopter pad that’s used daily

I live in Belle chasse, Lemme tell you how often the Base has aircrafts fly over a day. A lot. It's nothing more than a couple minutes out of 24 hours at a time.

It really isn't much.

So what? Try living within a few miles of a major airport or the Texas Medical Center. Helicopters and planes go overhead all the time. Helicopters traveling from regional airports to the Texas Medical Center go over my house all the time. Yet property values keep going up because people keep moving here for work.

Sometimes when there's a low or loud helicopter, I'll check FlightAware out of curiosity and see that it's going from a suburban or small town airport to the medical center. Never once have I thought, "someone should sue them for the minor distraction of hearing them transport someone in dire need of emergency medical attention." You'd have to be an incredibly entitled piece of shite to worry about that.
