Uptown neighbors file class action lawsuit against Children's Hospital over helicopter
Petitioners herein strenuously object to the lifesaving measures that are taking place by the least restrictive means possible, to help save poor defenseless children. Petitioners really do not give a flying F about anyone else besides their own sheltered and cloistered kin.

Petitioners do want it known that in the event one of their children or close relatives are seriously injured at any of the myriad beach and/or vacation properties owned by them in the vicinity of defendant hospital, there are no objections to Life Flights taking place at any time.

Oh that is a given. These people are undoubtedly Karens or Democrats I should say. Way too hypo to not be.

Im a city-idiot. I hear news, police and medical choppers all night and morning. When they hover low over your house, it sucks. Flight for life isnt hovering it is landing as fast as possible. Those people just don't get it! Sorry gtfo and sell.

It’s such an emotional heart string pull that the OT usually hates, but they let it slide here....

The hospital could upgrade to an EC-135 like Acadian uses. It's impressive how quiet they are.

They use an EC-145 and it was donated to the hospital.

I spent around 28 hours next to the hospital a few weeks ago. I heard one damn helicopter...one...land.

It didn’t bother me at all...wasn’t that loud. Others in the house (within 50 yards of the hospital) didn’t even hear it.

Bunch of uptown Karen’s pitching a fit.

I noticed the one in the article didn't have the enclosed tail rotor which I assume is the feature that help minimize noise.

One of the big benefits of living near a hospital is you don’t experience long power outages. Hospitals are high priority and anybody near by benefits from that.

For anyone wondering, here is a map of the old and new helipad location. Hope it shows up, sharing images on this site has become a pain in the arse.

They can move the helipad back where it was. I lived in that area years ago and we never heard a peep from the helicopters. Then one day all of a sudden the hospital, without getting a permit or input from the neighbors, moves the helipad closer to the houses where the helicopters wake people up at all hours of the night. I have friends there still who say it is horrible.

lol at those of you who say terrorizing the neighborhood with defcon level noises is okay because it's for sick children. No, it's not. They can relocate the helipad back to where it is not bothering anyone. Neighbors can sleep and have their peace back. And the children will still get their care.

[quote]It’s funny how people see a children’s hospital being sued and automatically assume the hospital couldn’t possibly be in the wrong.[/]

The same people who firmly support the idea that a heliport is just part of a social construct that should be accepted by the locals would also lose their minds if they received a $50k bill from the benevolent hospital for their child’s chopper ride.

These people have no problem with gunshots...but emergency air transport for sick children?

No we can't have none of that...

Say this out loud to yourself and think about how dumb it sounds. That's because it is incredible stupid.
