I wonder if they were killer bees. Honey bees just arent that aggressive. I have a bee keeper friend that mows right by his boxes (25 or so) and they dont pay him any attention. And then there are fools that call hornets and yellow jackets bees.

Wife’s quote doesn’t really make it seem like she is that sad tbh. You know if she was the black momma of a criminal shot by the police, they would’ve used the most emotional quote they received. Clown world.

Literally my biggest fear. I’m highly allergic to wasps and bees, and am always scared I’m going to come across a huge nest one day when I’m mowing, and they all attack me

I have a cousin who used to have a whole lawncare small business that he ran. I used to work for him sometimes to make some money when I needed during college.

One day while working in someone's yard, he accidentally disturbed a big hive, and they attacked the mess out of him. He was in the hospital for a couple days. After that whole ordeal he said frick all that. He let his business dissolve, He went back to his old warehouse job and never looked back.

Killer bee resurgence? AKA Africanized bees (term from the 80’s for killer bees that certainly would fly today).

If I’ve learned anything on here in 13 years it’s that you’re supposed to kill them with fire.

Yep, now I have to reconsider that entire strategy.

hitting a yellow jacket nest while mowing is one of my legit fears. Happened to my dad back when I was a kid and damn near killed him

Playing smear the queer as a kid in a vacant lot. I got tackled, and everyone was piling on. I felt something on my belly that was quite unpleasant.

I started screaming. The other guys just piled on more. One of my brothers finally realized something was wrong and they got off me.

When I got up all hell broke loose. Hundreds of yellow jackets swarmed us. There were so many, it looked like a small cloud.

Kids were running and screaming in every direction.

I had 13 stings on my belly alone and had 19 total IIRC. All of us got lit up. Two kids ran a mile and half home and their mom said they still had some of those winged devils chasing them.

Anyone ever watch beehive removal videos?

When I was a kid, a neighbor had to have a hive removed from inside his garage wall. It must have been a 100 sqft beehive. Interesting as hell to watch from the safety of my bedroom.

Yea oddly enough, and I found out later as an adult, you aren’t actually supposed to put a dick in the arse playing that game

“You couldn’t even see his back and his whole head — he was just covered,” she said.

I can assure you. The pain was intense.

Having been attacked by a swarm of angry Yellow Jackets, and stung 25-30 times about the head, neck, and face. I cannot imagine what he went through.

The only thing that saved me and the two German Shepherd dogs with me? The river. All three of us dove into the water. I am still amazed that the dogs knew instinctively to hit the water. One of them hit it before I did. We were all three screaming and yelping.
