How do ya'll feel overall about the future of the Saints, over the next 2-3 years?

Seems we all knew going into this year and will be the same for next year, we aren't going to be able to bring in any big time FAs. Basically going to have to rely on the draft.
I was pretty impressed how we kept most of our offense together, but defense took a lot of losses. It was obvious we weren't going to be able to pay Janoris J or Hendrickson what they'd command. I was hoping we could at least retain Malcom Brown.
The future of Dline, as in the next 2-3 years looks shaky. Davenport is still an unknown about staying healthy, how many more years do we have good play from Cam Jordan, etc. Onymata will be a good anchor for years to come, Roach and Tuttle have progressed nicely, Turner will hopefully develop into a good player but my worry is even if he does, only having 1 good DE in a matter of a season or 2.
LB will all depend on how Baun and Werner pan out. Both are pretty much needed now and don't have time for developing and sitting 2-3 years. OTOH, between Jordan, Granderson, and Davenport, Turner has at least a chance to develop and not get thrown to the wolves rookie year. Obviously we have Davis for a couple more seasons, thank goodness.
Secondary is an unknown, we have Lattimore which I feel confident will sign a new contract and be kept long term. Between Marcus Williams and Ram I feel we'll sign Ram over him. CGJ is a really good player and progressing nicely but we don't have much outside of that. Jenkins is a good stop gap and may give us time to find someone else there over the next year or 2, but more than likely CGJ will take his spot at some point. CB situation looks kind of scary.
Oline looks good for the future, at least overall, we've done a good job of taking Oline seriously. Hurst is as good of a backup T in this league as they come and our interior is very deep. Probably won't retain Armstead after this year with all the other contracts we have to do after 21 season.
RB is an area I can see us getting thin at after this season. Murray isn't getting younger and is getting to the age a RB can fall of the cliff, imo, we will need to find more youth there to pair with Kamara.
WR and TE I don't think we are bad at, this year may be tough but I think and hope next year in the draft we can possibly get a good playmaker to pair with MT. Tre'Quan is not consistent but does have some good games and good and cheap enough to keep. There's some promise with younger lesser known guys and I feel good about Trautman.
QB is obviously a who the hell knows what's gonna happen.
There's a handful of guys that pretty much need to make an impact fairly quick, as in their rookie year, or 2nd year. Ruiz, Adebo, Baun, and Trautman. I believe Werner and Turner unless injuries happen in front of them, have at least a season to develop. Not saying they won't play a lot, but not be completely depended on. Having a random surprise like Ellis at LB coming out of nowhere and playing well would be nice.
ETA: I realized I stated Werner doesn't have time to develop and later that he does. I guess it depends on where the Saints want to play him. If behind Davis he'll have time, if somewhere else, he may get thrown in rookie year also.
ETA2: OK maybe I didn't say both about Werner, I'm reading Werner and thinking Turner and confusing myself, my eyes hurt trying to read off my screen, my bad.

To me we can be very good if Winston and/or Hill can play well. It all revolves around that IMO; otherwise, I see a bunch of 7-9 type seasons.

I feel pretty good. Excited to see the return of the deep ball. I think there's a chance we resign Kwon at a realistic salary if his recovery keeps going well.

We either have a QB or we're looking for a QB.
The rest of the team is solid enough to compete for a championship.

This will all go by how the QB position develops. Only comfort we can take is Payton knows how to build a team and he knows how to win games without Brees

I think the GM and the coaching staff think they have a better roster than they actually have. Especially on offense.
I don’t want it to be this way, but I think this season coming up is going to be rougher than usual.

Ask me in 3 years...

We still have one of the most talented rosters in the league so we will be a contender for the next few years. It all comes down the QB though. We will go as far as the guy taking the snaps takes us.

I'm cautiously optimistic.
Unlike a lot of folks here, I think Jameis is still an A+ prospect. I think he was both inexperienced and stuffed into an overly aggressive, reckless scheme at Tampa, and he was able to produce some numbers while also forcing a lot of turnovers. I've brought it up a couple times- Brady came in, and he and Ariens had a serious conflict the middle of last season. The offense they closed the year with (and won the Super Bowl with) was NOT the offense Winston was running.
I think Payton runs a much smarter offense, and I believe one of the main reasons Winston didn't play last year when Brees got hurt, was that Payton was completely rebooting him. Hill doesn't have the talent, but he had better understanding of the scheme design. I think with a year in the system, and Payton seeing what parts best fit his skills, we're going to see Winston come out looking elite.
At least, that's my hope, and I think it's a very valid and reasonable possibility.
If that's the case, I could see 11 wins next year, and a lot of potential to continue owning the NFC South like we have during Brees' tenure.

It all starts at the top. The Saints have excellent leadership. With Loomis and Payton at the helm, I am confident we will be contending sooner than later.

So much is up in the air, starting with the QB situation. This is the first year in a long time where I would believe literally any possible outcome, from a super bowl win to going 1-16.

It all depends on the QB play. If we can get good QB production coupled with low turnovers then we can compete. We could win the division. My hope is that Jameis sees that he doesn't need to be a world beater. Just make the easy play and don't turn the ball over.

Not very good, honestly. But I’m glad Drew Brees is no longer a Saint.

As long as CSP is our head coach and Dennis Allen is our DC, I feel like we will continue to win the NFC South.

It is rebuild time. You can only go all-in for so many years.

Just my honest opinion ..
I think we'll regress pretty significantly in this upcoming year. I think we have a winning record but barely. I feel like next year's draft we'll be talking about how we can move up from our middle to late teens pick to a top pick to grab our "franchise qb of the future "

I’m stoked.
I think we end up hitting a couple home runs in this draft.

Saints will be fine. Not saying they’ll be a Super Bowl team, but they won’t stink either.

I think as we recover from our current cap situation we’ll have 2 or so years of a little bit of spottiness (8-9 to 10-7 type seasons) and then we’ll be balling
I personally expect Winston to be dominant here, I am probably crazy but I just feel it coming
