If we went purely by best ten year stretches, Pujols would be up there.

I'm not sure you can have Pete Rose in there when talking all around hitter. Dude hit like 8 Hrs a year. Ty Cobb gets a break cuz of his era, and dude hit .367 for his career. Also how is Hank Aaron not on that list or Willie Mays?

Jackson still holds the Indians and White Sox franchise records for both triples in a season and career batting average.

As a rookie Jackson hit .408 and had an OBP .468.

His second year he batted .395.

His 3rd year he led the league with 197 hits and a .551 slugging %.

He batted .351, .375 and .382 the following years before he was banned...despite hitting .307 in the World Series.

Bonds is the best hitter of all time. Ichiro is easily the most underrated. He was so, so skilled and he made hitting into an art form.

Not being a smart arse, but I am legit interested in seeing a detailed argument why any list that includes the “Steroid Era” and doesn’t have Bonds #1.

My opening argument is:
“Google Barry Bonds stats”

Trying to think of some names that haven’t been mentioned.

Here are a few that I thought of:
Mays
Shoeless Joe
Frank Robinson
Foxx
Clemente

Ted Williams was a better hitter than Babe Ruth. If Williams had played in Yankee Stadium with the short porch in RF, had Gehrig hitting behind him and hadn’t lost, basically 5 seasons of his prime to military service, it wouldn’t even be a debate.
