Bout twice as much as a housecat. Unless it gives you rabies, but any warm-blooded animal can give you rabies.
My sister's cat went insane on me once when I was on the toilet, and it scratched me up pretty well before I broke it's will to fight.

Wiki has the average weight at 19 lbs so I really doubt if you've ever seen one "a lot" bigger than 25 lbs.

And I posted in that thread. A healthy bobcat will frick you up big time. And where I’m at they get a lot bigger than 25lbs., and they ain’t skeered of animals that walk on two.
And where are you at?
Bobcats have a size range of 15-45 lbs with the the larger ones living in the Northern states.
Typically, bobcats in Louisiana weigh in at the bottom of the scale at between 15-30 lbs.

That dude went real quick from “good morning, man I need wash my car” to “imma shoot this fricker”

I mean.. define “much of a threat.” Sure, it’s not a mountain lion. But that doesn’t mean I want to fight one.

Watching it on repeat and hearing him go from “Imma shoot that fricker” to “Good Morning!” gives me the uncontrollable laughs.

Deep scratches, very slim chance of losing an eye. The only threat to your life would be a heart attack from over-exertion and only that if you're already at risk.

Like I said in that old thread I'd just as soon not fight a squirrel but I'm pretty sure I would win.

Is close to thirty "a lot" bigger than 25? I believe close to 30 but that's a freakishly large bobcat anywhere, not just the south.

would rather fight a bobcat or a wolf. It was amazing how many people had never actually seen a bobcat. They're usually in the 20-25 lb range. It's about twice the size of a housecat. It's a lot meaner than a housecat but if you can fling it it's really not much of a threat.
As someone who has owned one of the few wolf killer dog breeds... And had to break up a fight.
Give me the Wolf.
Cats are fricking Wiley.

I’m with you. The wolf is an easy win. It’s one animal with one weapon. And I outweigh it. A wolf has no chance against a normal size man who is in shape and doesn’t panic. Neither does a bobcat, but the bobcat will likely scratch the hell out of you.

We tried to catch a squirrel in the quad one day. 8 dudes running and corralling him.
Well he eventually had enough.
And he charged us instead

Do you know how averages work?

I do. Now go back to the kiddy table. Pokemon's coming on.

Happy's a lead nominee for Husband of the Year.
If that cat had bitten his wife's neck close to her spinal cord, I wonder if the shots would have worked.
Also, the letter from the Sheriff was so detailed and well written, that it was surprisingly good to think of a LEO being that sharp.

To me that video seemed to fake.

Breaking up a fight between two dogs is nothing like having one attack you.
K9 compilation
30 second mark is a bad arse take down.
A wolf would frick you up...give me the bobcat everytime.

Hate that they have to go through the rabies shot ordeal - kinda puts a damper on an exciting event.

I know it probably shouldn't, but that dude chunking the bobcat and it just flying out of frame dead weight cracks me up every time

Yep. Cats are the devil.
I know a sheriff deputy who was attacked by a dog of peace. It latched onto his gun hand and he dropped the weapon. Dog kept thrashing around so big Earl just shoved his hand\arm down said dogs mouth. After he got that big arse forearm in there good and deep dog started gagging trying to get away.
Big Earl held onto his collar till he was dead. 47 stitches later and he said he had no regrets.

I only just saw a wild one for the first time in my life a few months ago as it darted across the road in a national forest. fricker had some big muscles on him. I wouldn't be too worried about one killing me, but one with all it's mental faculties in place could definitely shred you up pretty good before you fought it off. I wouldn't want to come face to face with an angry one
