I remember a thread a couple of years ago debating whether you would rather fight a bobcat or a wolf. It was amazing how many people had never actually seen a bobcat. They're usually in the 20-25 lb range. It's about twice the size of a housecat. It's a lot meaner than a housecat but if you can fling it it's really not much of a threat.

I've heard them numerous times, but only seen one in the wild -- in suburban Atlanta. I would not want to mess with oe, just a little ball of hate.

I’ve never seen one in person other than the zoo, but I’ve caught them on trail cams and they always look pissed off to me

If I were Happy, I’d be getting a mount made.

This is one I shot last year. I’m kind of an amateur taxidermist and did the mount myself.

That cat didn’t land on all fours

We see them all the time. Gutted one through the arse a few yrs ago with a 308. Stopped shooting them, bc they are very territorial, and their territory is very large. 1 bobcat won’t do much damage on 1000 acres.

Happy made the decision to shoot the rabid bobcat as neighbors called 911. The Wades are concealed carry permit holders.

Happy quite literally saved other neighbors from being attacked as well by doing that. What an ordeal.
