Chanda Rigby, currently the head coach at Troy University. She’s a Louisiana native and would take WBB to national championship level!!

Pokey is now politically appropriate in today's culture. Black female lesbian deserves a 2nd chance AND based on her ABILITY to coach and recruit too.
Considering the old white man sexual harassment Title IX allegations, LSU could use some positive press from the MSM.

No one fricking cares about women’s basketball. As evidence by the millions of dollars it loses every year.

Every sports at UConn lost money. Woman's basketball lost the least.

But, it is important to invest in all your sports because they'll drive the TV deals. People want winners and winners bring in revenue.

very, very few sports get lucrative TV deals. Football and (to a much lesser extent) men's basketball are about the only ones.

That's just reality.

UConn doesn’t have a football team driving national brand exposure. UConn needs the brand exposure it gets from having a great women’s basketball team, thus justifying the bad financials for the sport for them.

LSU has a football team driving national brand exposure. LSU does not need the brand exposure it would get from having a top women’s basketball team, thus making an increase in the bad financials of the sport a horrific decision for them.

The university of Texas is the only school with a tv deal. All other tv deals are with conferences and the ncaa. LSU has nothing to gain in terms of tv revenue by investing more money in its women’s basketball program.

Those men have to identify as women. That may or may not be the hard part. I’m not sure.

Maybe Mulkey wants to come home and would take less money. It’s not like she should be hurting for money anyway.

Absolutely. I think she would accept less than what she's making at Baylor to return to Louisiana and coach at LSU, plus the challenge of returning the program to greatness is there.

It wouldn't take very long at all to get it turned around.

It just all depends if Scotty wants to to do the sane thing or play SJW Woke Politics and make another PC hire.

And here's a big FU to all the "Nobody cares about women's Basketball" simpletons who only care about football, basketball and baseball.

If you love LSU and have actually stepped foot in an LSU classroom, you desire for ALL the programs to be ranked in the Top 10/20.

If LSU had a National Power program, consistently in the Top 10 and winning Championships, LSU fans WOULD care and attend games. (See Gymnastics)

Mulkey would be the only sure fire coach that would provide that.

LSU could/should return to the Jinks Coleman/Sue Gunter days of "Double Headers" with the Men's team.

Here comes the "Will & Kim Show."

It's a No Brainer to me and many other LSU fans, but SJWSW may try to play Woke Politics with the hire and sentence LSU to another 5 years or so of rank mediocrity in women's basketball.

Just do it Scott. Get her in here, pay her what she wants and be done with it..........

Yea, that sounds exactly like the people saying bo pelini was gonna take a reduced buyout because he recognized how much he didn’t deserve that salary

Once again, gymnastics is still a money pit. Tickets to gymnastics meets are very cheap, if not free.

we all love LSU and want elite programs in every sport.

Again, the question is: do we pay huge salaries for coaches in money-losing sports?

Why not pay $10 million for every head coach in every sport, so we're virtually guaranteed to get the best coach in the country? We won't do that? Why not?

Because the price always has to be considered. Any dollar spent is a dollar that can't be spent elsewhere.

Finite resources, so it's all about allocation.

Ok so the greatest women’s basketball dynasty of all time still doesn’t make money. So we’re on the same page.

Lol fricking what?

You think ESPN gives 2 shits about women’s basketball? No it’s football and men’s basketball. That’s it.

No one and I mean no one ever has landed a major tv deal because of women’s basketball.

You don’t invest into all sports. That’s why you don’t know who the women’s tennis coach is.

I’m fine if we have to pay our dues and put money to this sinkhole but you don’t actually put millions toward it. It’s an awful investment. And no tv executives care about women’s basketball.

Yes, let's bring a HS coach into the SEC, with no previous or proven coaching experience at the college level, just because she used to play at LSU. (Pump Lump Mediocrity Accepting Mental Moron Low Standard of Excellence thought right here)

Where have I read this before? (LSU baseball HC replacement suggestions)
