what would a realistic list of WBB coaches look like?

I dont know any womens coaches past the Mulkey's, Aureama, vandaveer, etc...
so who are some realistic canidates we should explore?

Most don’t care about the name. We just want to know LSU isn’t paying them a million dollars a year.

I think you make Mulkey tell you no first. She will, but at least you make Baylor pay her more.

Maybe Mulkey wants to come home and would take less money. It’s not like she should be hurting for money anyway.

Hell, $700k is ridiculous.
Find a young up-and-comer or mid-major HC looking for an opportunity at the major conf. level that you can get for relatively cheap. If they out perform their contract then you can have discussions about a higher salary. If not, you move on. Either way, the sport is going to lose a significant amount of money. Don't make that loss greater by having the massive expense of high HC salary for no ROI

Okay, let’s be real.
We could likely get an up-and-coming assistant from a strong program. I wish Nikki would have resigned a few days earlier so we could have made a run at Shea Ralph, the longtime UConn assistant that Vandy just hired.
If Woodward wants to go cheap but still have a chance on unearthing a diamond, hire Tameka Johnson, a former LSU point guard during the Gunter-Pokey years and a longtime WNBA and overseas veteran.
She just won a state championship at John Curtis and might recruit lights-out at LSU.

This is where I'm at. I think the goal should be merely "respectable."
Hire a cheap, but solid, low level coach from the Southland Conference that can put a non-embarrassing product on the court. Maybe go .500. If they end up being great, they will get poached, if so hire another.
Wash. Rinse. Repeat.
frick spending millions on a money losing sport. Even Baylor and UConn women don't make money.
