For all those brilliant LSU fans that are wishing we go 1-29 in SEC play or keep on losing just so CPM gets fired is an a-hole.

If you don't like CPM, that is fine. But if he gets fired, it will be in offseason, not after we played three teams in the Top 6 in the country.

But to wish us to lose so that it guarantees CPM goes, is just plain wrong and you should just go back to doing what you do best...waiting for LSU to start winning in a sport than jump on board.

Do not dare call yourself a fan of anything if you want your team to lose.

Criticism =\= wanting the team to lose

Not sure why boomers seem to equate the two

No one is actively rooting against LSU. You understand that you can still pull for LSU and also think that PM should retire at the end of the year.

If it is perfectly logical and reasonable for a fan of a bad pro team to hope for a tank to get a number 1 pick, why is it considered awful and terrible to wish for an accelerated end to a coaching tenure that is growing staler by the day?

I've only seen one person say that they wanted the team to lose. I'm not sure why some people think that this is happening more than it actually is.

It's not a boomers thing, alone. Every generation has people who confoundingly confuse criticism with wanting to lose.

If I wanted to lose, I wouldn't complain; I'd celebrate. And if we were winning, there would be no reason to complain.

But, yeah, the nerve of our dissatisfaction with a 1-8 league start must mean that we are happy with losing... makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

I like Maineiri. I do. I've met him at a game and he was super cool welcoming me during the batting practice before the game.

I also can't ignore voicing some criticism though. I did the same thing last year with O when the defense was supposed to be better than the 2019 defense and we all know how the defense looked last season.

My point is that it starts with the HC. I don't think Mainieri said anything like "we're going to be better than we've ever been" or anything like that but when we're going into the fourth week of conference play and we have one conference win, that's something to be concerned about. We look lost when we play SEC teams.

To be fair, we played pretty well today but we still came up short. I don't understand why he won't play Arnold. Why does he stick with Beloso at DH?

This isn't a shot at either Beloso or who plays 2nd base, but as a HC, you should put your team in the best possible position to succeed. Beloso has been in a slump and there's Drost who's a freshman who has a pretty swing and he's already hit a couple HRs. Use him. If nothing else, he gets experience against a conference opponent.

I'm the last person who would want the team to lose but there are issues going on that are worthy of voicing some criticism. That doesn't mean I want the team to lose. I would never want that. I just want them to have some direction and get better going forward and be put in the best position to succeed.

And have Dunn take over for the rest of the season? Because it'll either be I'm or Cain.

They may be top 6, but In more than half of the games we weren’t really competitive....

I can't stand Maineri. Have never liked him and always thought he was nothing more than a used car salesman. I have never rooted for LSU to lose. I love the Tigers more than I hate him.

This is the very real problem we have with the fan base. This poster and many like him believe this.

Think about that for a minute....

This person is actually ok with this kind of thinking....
