Just got back from Communist Colorado and it was amazing how two similar states could be so different.

The people of Steamboat Springs are legit all in on masks and fear of Covid. Several times using the public bus system, people would be scolded by not having their masks up. Not just the by the bus driver, but other riders. One of the best being and I quote - "Pull you mask up, I do not want to die from Covid"

The mountain Ambassadors are more worried telling kids under 10 to pull their mask up, than actually greeting skiers and telling them mountain information. A normally very family friendly place was ruined by politics.

Turning the Rant off, thank goodness for Texas. We did not expect Texas to quickly embrace mask free since it just expired, but we were surprised. Went to dinner in McKinney and no mask sign on the door and people walking in mask free. Every single table was in use.

What did you eat? Can’t ask us to read all that and not give us the most important details.

There's a sports bar type place down the street from me that I enjoy frequenting. The past 6 months or so that I've been going not a single word or sign has been mentioned about masks. It'd kinda be pointless to wear it walking from the door a few steps the bar or table anyway, but still. I don't even take it with me anymore. It's great.

I was in Plano this week and was told to leave a restaurant because I did not have a mask. I felt they we more mask conscious than on my previous trips there this year. Lots of virtue signaling going on.

We don’t wear masks going to restaurants in Louisiana, no one says anything

What good does it do wearing a mask 15 feet to your table and then take it off for the rest of the meal when everybody but the servers are not wearing masks?

This is why we should go back to being an open carry society. shite like this just wouldn’t happen anymore. An openly armed society is a very polite society. If you’re going to “scold” strangers, it better be worth it

So glad I live in Florida. Frick the autocratic POS mofos around the country. But at least my real estate here is skyrocketing. Palm Beach County just issued a press release that we are positioning as the Wall St of the South. Hedge funds from manhattan are flocking down here. I'm rich, beyotch.

That was why we were kind of shocked, we expected a slow adoption. I am sure Plano will be one of the last to fall in Collin County.

There are a couple of local places that have been mask free and full capacity for a few months we have gone to. It was nice to see more though.

We also went into Braums for dessert after and the signs are down.

We no longer have a shared American culture.

There is a suburban/rural MAGA style culture and an urban culture that prefers the EU model and cultural norms.

They listen to different news channels, different entertainment and have different hobbies and interests.

And a significant percentage of both groups really, really don’t like each other after the last 5 years.

If it were a marriage it would be in divorce proceedings.
