Hampton vs. Bianco situation.
Because one has OF starts and the other has none.

he should be starting over Drost? Why?

Drost is too slow for center field.

Okay, you seriously need to chill. He is not a good SS.

I think Bianco only started one game in center. The first one that Gio was out if I remember correctly. After that it was Sanford then Drost.

Bianco took over for Gio in that game too. I thought he had one more start.

Fwiw I had an area scout tell me he should prob stick to football

From what I’ve seen I’m not sure he is a thing in either sport.

One appears to have earned playing time while the other appears to have people demanding he be given playing time, just because he looked good in high school.

Paul said Hampton was showing some rust in the field in practice. Makes sense that he isn’t going to rush to put him out there in a game.

You brought up last season, not me as if it was some barometer for his skills. He wasn't really given much of a chance the

He played 10 games starting in 7, he hit 26 ABs, and didn’t distinguish himself. Sorry, I think he had a shot.

We don't really know that though. He was hitting 0.500 this year.

You mean you think Hampton is better than those four? What makes you think that?

I didn’t mention Stanford because I haven’t seen him play enough.

The only person that should be complaining about not getting more PT is Sanford because he started and didn’t really do anything to lose his spot.

Drost is 2-19 over the past 6 games. Hopefully just a minor slump, but he hasn't looked hot at the plate recently.

He may. I know when Gio got hurt he moved from short to center and Arnold went to short. Then I think the next game he started there and then after that he went to short. I may be forgetting a game in there but he wasn’t there for an extended time.

But the part where the leash started to get long was while he was at short and striking out on 3 pitches every at bat.

Paul put Hellmers in the field over Thompson, too.

Bianco was the LF in all of his starts last year too fwiw. He kept starting even though he hit 0.074.

For all of his potential and high recruiting rankings, I haven't seen much to make me think he's a star in either sport.

Wouldn’t shock me. Hampton’s high school of about 120 kids a class sends probably 20 kids a year to Ole Miss. That’s why Brunetti transferred there after he couldn’t see the field at West Virginia.
