My issue with these rankings is how random they seem. A few years ago Iowa was #1. The next year it was #13. Did it really drop that much in 12 months?

Yeah, a lot of those lists are just click bait. There's probably some validity to LA being last so that part doesn't bother me at all

Rankings like these are all bull shite that some intern makes up to justify their summer position with a media outlet. If you enjoy where you live, don't worry about this shite.
For now, I enjoy living in north Georgia. When I retire in another 13 years I plan on moving to south Mississippi or south Louisiana, and so far back into the woods or swamp that Uncle Sam will never find me. (And yes, I plan of having alligators for guard dogs.)
Preach all you want, but there is nothing that would EVER make me consider living in a Yankee or a lib'tard state.
