Tuna, then chicken. Egg would be a distant third. Never had a ham or turkey salad sammich, so I can't comment on those.

I'm more of a grilled cheese and tomato soup kinda guy though.

I almost always have one of these four homemade in the icebox.

Growing up Joe D’s had egg salad sandwiches and pimento cheese sandwiches only on Friday and they were on white bread in a stapled wax paper bag. They cost $.50 and my mother always had a platter of them on the counter when we got home from school. I’ve been trying to replicate them ever since.

You can also do a great meat-based salad w/ leftover, roasted pork loin.

I had never had this I met my wife and I like it every now and again. My wife uses the ham that comes in a can, same size as tuna.

Chicken (add garlic)
Tune (Albacore only not cat food(
Lobster (light on the mayo)
Egg Salad

And for the love of God and all that is holy,DO NOT add grapes, raisins, walnuts, almonds or some other fruit or nut to any of the above listed.

Who the hell came up with that idea?

It's so simple but so great. I like to add chicken to increase the protein as well as cheese. But I try not to add bacon, it makes me sick. But I do add a lot of lettuce.

Used to be: Egg then tuna.....

Then I tried "smoked tuna" salad.

Now it is DEFINTELY "Smoked Tuna" salad, followed by egg salad, then tuna salad then chicken.... Like them all though.
