How does fat shaming cause less deaths?

Wow! You are remarkably wrong. Getting CV is far better than getting vaccinated in the range up to 9 months. We just don’t know about after that. The second vaccine shot gets you close, but still not to where the actual disease does.

I’ll pass on trusting big pharma “at this time.”

In short, any data being bandied about is subject to change moving forward. I sincerely hope that the industry got it right. That being said, I’m not sure why I should trust these companies under these extraordinary circumstances.

Sure. 5-10% chance

Noooo!!!!

Jesus, please quit posting if you don’t understand the numbers. If you get the vaccine your chance of catching CV is about 5% as high as it would have been had you not been vaccinated. That is very different, and much better, than what you posted.

people argue that the vaccine actually provides better protection going forward from Covid than if you actually had the virus.

The first reported case of reinfection in the US didn't come till October after millions had it. 100M cases and a couple dozen reinfections worldwide?

If you've had Covid, I think you'll be ok.

How bout 99.7% survival rate if you healthy and young

Dude, it’s 99.5 if you’re random. When we had 500,000 dead the CDC was estimating 85 million had already had the disease. That’s 0.58% I believe.

If you’re 58, as I am, and healthy your survival rate is like 99.99%. Just a few cases, but I, my wife, and about 20 people my age that I know have had it, and it was nothing. If you’re fat, with hypertension, or if you’re taking opioids or steroids, you have a good chance of dying from it. Unfortunately, there are a lot of Americans who fit these categories.

Jan 12th, wife got her 2nd dose of Pfizer Vaccine

Feb 12th, I tested positive for Covid

Feb 22nd wife tested positive for COVID

My symptoms we way less than hers. She still cant taste or smell, was congested and really bad for a couple days. I lost my smell for like 2 days and was congested for a couple days, never missed any work other than going to the Dr.

The Vaccine, to me, is bullshite.

There's more to it than that. I know some really fat people who had no problems with covid, they were over it in a few days.

Being fat is not a death sentence. It just increases your odds of having a worse reaction to the disease. Plenty of elderly have survived Covid with no issue but stats say that are still higher risk.

People also forget that there are effective treatments for Covid if you get it especially if you catch it early.

Read this somewhere...Sorry No Link...

But thought it was interesting and common sense.

Before getting the vaccine if you have some doubts:

1) Previous infected...Get checked for anti-bodies.
if anti-bodies are still high-- no need for vaccine.

2) Dont know if you had covid....Get checked for anti-bodies. if anti-bodies are still high--no need for vaccine.

3)If you have no anti-bodies.....Make a decision on what works for you. Research these vaccine's and decide what you need. You survived a year without getting it.
Do you need the vaccine or not?????

It was also said if you have a high anti-body count a vaccine could do more harm then good to your body.

Just some info I thought was common sense....

Good Luck to everyone and be safe.

long term studies

What do you consider long term? People started getting clinical trials last Spring so nearly a year in we can see that the moderna and phizer at least don’t have long term implications. The JJ technology is the same technology used for their Ebola vaccine that’s been approved for 6 years now and has been researched for decades. The mRNA vaccine technology has been around for over a decade as well. Now if you don’t trust Trump and operation warp speed and that they rushed this thing into production in December then I don’t know what to tell you. Hell, Trump took the vaccine in January and probably knew all about it , so he would seem to be comfortable with it.

Have type O blood without a vitamin D deficiency is actually the best protection.

Being white is second place.

Not being fat is third.

Trump is technically in a high risk demographic. Melania lives with someone in a high risk demographic. That being said, they both had it so not sure how much good the vaccine is going to do. However what Trump does matters so I could see him and Melania doing it to help convince other high risk folks that they shouldn’t be scared of the vaccine.

Plus if Trump did NOT take the vaccine after consultation with his Drs bc it wasn’t necessary then you know good and well that the media would label him an “ANTI-VAXXER” and that he doesn’t trust his own vaccine. Trump probably decided not to give them that kind of ammo to fire at him

That's what 95% means. Still better protection than having had it.
