Went to a waterfront restaurant last night. It was packed, no masks except on wait staff.

Almost felt normal.

My wife and I went out for oysters and a few beers last Friday. Place was packed and I probably saw 3 masks. I just won't post the name of it because I don't want them to get in trouble.

People are so done with this crap. Screw your 50% capacity and 6 ft apart.

Use to frequent the one in Baker on main for lunch buffet. Creamy Italian dressing ftw.

As I type this on my iPhone that I stare at way more than I should, I also have a longing for those simpler days when information flowed a good deal slower. Seemed like it gave us as a society an easier time digesting that info.

Pizza Hut and Bonanza were our go to places for going out to eat back in the day.

Quincy's was another good one. Those yeast rolls were awesome.

cub scouts in the late 1970s they let us make our own pizzas in the kitchen...I can't see that happening in 2021

We’d play a basketball game on a Friday night then 3/4 of the team and their parents would go to the Hut. Parents talking not paying attention to the kids. Kids raising hell and having a blast. Organizing sleep overs and talking about the latest movie or video game.

A simpler, happier time

Remember in the 70’s when going to Pizza Hut was a big deal?

I do. And the one we went to was on Jefferson Highway and we were all excited when it was built next to the Pac A Sac.

As 12-16 year old kids we had many pizza and $3.00 Miller draft beer pitchers. No ID required.

It now is City Pork Jefferson.

And I no longer need a fake ID.

We'd go to bonanza, ask for quarters to get these out of the vending machine.

I loved the buffet! The pizza was twice as good when you dined in.

Not 70's for me, but absolutely in the 80's. We'd get to go when I got good grades on my report card, so maybe once or twice year. That was until my younger sister came up and started getting report cards. I was her biggest supporter in school. Every six weeks like clockwork. I mean it's not like my mom could leave me at home, or maybe she never thought of that.

Pizza Hut and Taco Bell were amazing back then. I'd give anything to relive the 70s and 80s.

The pan pizza was the reason to go to pizza hut.

They only sold it briefly in the 80s,but the Priazzo from Pizza Hut was the best pizza on the planet. Nothing else is even close, as far as chain pizza goes. Not even Godfather's.
