It's laughably sad how so many want to downplay the seriousness of that day.

It’s exactly what to expect from people on this board as well as the Poli board.

Both were political protests in nature, both went beyond the pale.

And neither one was an attempt to overthrow the government, insurrection, putsch, or whatever other dumbass term they want to use.

Both were protests that turned into riots with destruction of property and looting, if not at the same scale.

Maybe not, but there was certainly an attempt to disrupt and halt the proceedings of government business, and nobody knows what might have happened had those lunatics been able to gain entry to the House chambers while the proceedings were going on and all members were present. It's laughably sad how so many want to downplay the seriousness of that day.
Im sorry, but I cant take a human being seriously who wants to talk about the gravity of that day but didnt blink at the burning, murdering, month long riots this summer

Its impossibly moronic

Youre both insufferable but you're right about this, yet he claims he's not a rebublican.

You both deserve each other in a loony bin

It was no more serious than any of the other riots that went on around the country.

It was serious. And stupid. But it was not an insurrection. It was political speech. Wrong place, wrong time, wrong objective. But it was not the mayhem that occurred throughout 2020 that you were conspicuously silent about.

Be specific.

Both were serious and seriously stupid. You say only one was he says only the other was. You're both wrong.

The DC riot was not on the same scale as what we saw over the summer. No comparison. Anyone that cant admit that is biased

Agreeing with everything Republicans do and disagreeing with everything democrats do.

You see yourself as a free thinker to enhance your self worth but you are a pawn in the game.

Wrong. I've condemned the riots over the summer plenty.

I have no interest in getting into a comparison of the two, nor any attempt to equate the two.

I just fricking said it was no more serious than the other riots going on around the country. You even quoted it.

Both were riots. Both were serious. Both were wrong.

So please, go on about how I'm a republican and only agree with one side.

Theyre exactly the same on the binary scale of stupid and not stupid. Both were stupid and ridiculous and bad for the county. Getting into which is worse is like comparing two murders. They're bad and shouldn't happen

They're equally as bad because actors in both instances are brainwashed zealots.

Not as dumb as the idiots who think it was an insurrection.
