Looks like some guy came into Tulane’s dining hall looking for a fight...

He came in and fought a dining hall employee. A supervisor followed him back outside and then the assailant pulled a shotgun out and the supervisor walked away. Here’s the blast from TUPD

DATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE: February 28, 2021, at approximately 5:15 p.m. LOCATION: Inside the Commons and on Newcomb Blvd.

REPORTED OFFENSE: Aggravated Assault / Simple Battery

SUSPECT’S DESCRIPTION: Known perpetrator / Known to victim

At approximately 5:15 p.m. the subject, who is a non-affiliate of Tulane, entered the Commons and committed simple battery (punches) on a Sodexo employee. The subject was known to the victim. A supervisor intervened and the perpetrator walked out of the Commons toward Newcomb Blvd. The supervisor followed. As the perpetrator reached his vehicle, which was parked on Newcomb, he exchanged words with the supervisor. The perpetrator then retrieved a shotgun from his vehicle and pointed it at the supervisor who then backed away. The perpetrator left campus.
