What was your favorite NCAAT win in ‘06? A&M, Duke, or Texas?

I’ll assume nobody will say Iona.

TAMU had a buzzer beater that sent LSU to their first Sweet 16 since 2000.

Shutting down Duke with Redick was awesome. Duke was in peak form as being an enemy.

Knocking off a very talented Texas squad in OT to go to the Final Four.

Each was special in its own way.

I attended the win over Texas, so that one is very special on a personal level.

However, watching the Duke win on tv was thrilling to see.

It's hard to top watching Garrett Temple make JJ Redick cry.

One of several memories my freshman year in the lobby of Herget.

Gotta be Duke, but I'll be forever grateful for DMitch - and the game winner against TAMU.

I’m going with Duke because the Fred’s Invitational was also that night. It’s a night I’ll never forget.

I was at the games in Atlanta against Duke and Texas. They were epic games and we had a great times at both. My favorite was the Texas game because that one was for all the marbles (that were available that weekend).

I also went to Indy the following week, but that was a different story.

I’ll go with Duke in my own post for a couple of reasons. Texas, as a 2 seed, was hammered by Duke earlier in the year in an AP #1 v #2 game in the Meadowlands. Texas had Lamarcus, PJ Tucker, and was loaded, but it was Duke who was always the media darling. Throw in Redick, and it was a match made in ESPN heaven.

The Duke win took so much out of me that I honestly thought there would be a letdown against Texas. As a fan, I wasn’t even thinking about the Horns until the day of the game.

LSU played some amazing defense in that run. Iona's 64 points was the most points they gave up in regulation. After that it was 57 to A&M, 54 to Duke, 54 to Texas, and 59 to UCLA. Problem was LSU couldn't score.

ETA: 52 to Texas
