Not sure about that, but keto works if you are faithful to it.
The problem with diets though, are once you get off if them, the weight can come back if you don't watch your eating habits constantly.

i wouldnt say specifically just those....anyone that consistently hammers any form of diet as the end all be all is in that same catagory of being cultish.

Why is it that you can't give any examples of someone who followed that diet, and were also up front about their entire diet, not just the junk food they ate?

Kige. I'm eating carnivore for the second time and with the positive results I'm getting again I regret stopping the first time. That make this diet right for everyone and I would never promote it as such. Whatever diet works best for an individual to be healthy and happy is what they should follow.

In general I tell people to get in a caloric deficit and make sure they get 1 gram of protein per lbs of bodyweight. Fill the rest of your calories up however you please.
I personally prefer ketoish but I tend to like to do things very strict for periods of time and have been doing this plenty long enough to know what I am doing when i stop keto or dieting in general.
One thing i hate about keto/carnivore/vegans whatever is the fricking cult behavior that some of these people start having. and also the uneducated BS, which tends to be worse in the keto community for some reason. Especially in the whole if you are eating keto you will lose bodyfat no matter your caloric intake because it burns fat for fuel crowd. Hate those people.
I will say one great thing about keto, almost any restruant you go to....has something that is perfectly fine to eat and stay within caloric limits.

Real true carnivore is straight meat. Frying is going to introduce carbs and oils. I wouldn't make a habit of it, but it's not the end of the world either.
I'm not 100% carnivore, just keto, but you can get away with this by breading in pork rind crumbs instead of bread crumbs. Pork King Good and Porko Panko make them in different seasoned varieties.
You can even use the unseasoned style pork rind crumbs to make pie crusts by mixing it with cocoa. I did this once and it turned out pretty good but never made it again because I don't crave those kinds of foods anymore.

In my understanding of both ketosis and being in a fasted state, your body increases production of HGH to protect against muscle loss while your body burns fat for fuel. This makes sense because it would be an idiotic survival mechanism to burn off your muscle every time you were short on food.
I'm honestly not sure what you mean by "muscle can break down into insulin", though, so apologies in advance.

Fasting does increase metabolism and hgh. I don't exactly know the details of all the mechanisms of such stuff but my understanding is ketones can only be made from a fat source, so your body can't cannibalize muscle into ketones. Your body can metabolize anything into insulin though, which what I mean with muscle breaking down into insulin.
I'm referring to being in a calorie deficit so that there is no confusion.

That is imo a great channel for this stuff. He has several videos on carnivore/keto/nutrition and uses scientific/medical studies. It is hard to compare diets using the same measurable across diets because depending on how close you are to things like full ketosis or carnivore diet you don't need as many nutrients because you aren't getting so many antinutrients, etc. The biochemistry matters a lot along with the hormones. As someone else said, fat is super efficient food so allows for more energy to be expended on developing a bigger brain, while fat also controls hormones, etc.

Calories in and calories out is perfectly fine for weight loss.
But weight loss is not health.
As the other poster was pointing out, macros and micronutrients are what determines diet health.
You could lose weight eating straight table sugar, but you'd likely die within a month trying to do it. Once your sodium and potassium goes out of wack you'd start having heart palpitations and die.

Bro 90% of the health benefits from a diet come from the weightloss itself. We have posted plenty of studies showing this. Go read Dr Layne Norton.

Sure it's better to eat clean and results will be better but not enough to really matter.

I love the carnivore diet and saw amazing results. Gained plenty of muscle, lost fat, and my joints felt amazing (anti-inflammatory diet), but then I did blood work...
My cholesterol was 692, lol. That was after 60 days on the carnivore diet.
I plan to do 30 days in April, but I will stick to doing it 2X a year.
