Is there a bar in the New Orleans area that people gather at to watch the races? Would be great to watch the Abu Dhabi race with the championship on the line in a cool environment.

Id think its the latter, but you never know... Rear Wing and all

But as others have pointed out, with that much power gain, Merc should just take new PU's in the next two races, face the grid penalty, and make it up with the quickness.

I have someone willing to open early if I can get a group of people together. Just have never tried to put it together.

But it’s a 7a race,

We have a group that gets together in the suburbs for a few races. We did it for Qatar yesterday

Saudi is supposed to be at 11:30a, so it isn't too bad. But NFL can get in the way.

Usually we do breakfast of the host country and sometimes have a couple people over. Would be nice to have a go to spot to watch.

Christian Horner says everyone should lay off Max, and should be encouraging him for bringing the fight to Hamilton.

Probably deserves it's own thread, but Frank Williams has died

F1.com

True titan of the sport. He epitomizes a lot of what F1 was and still is.

Oh no! A legend I got in to formula one as a BMW fan when they were with Williams. They were the first team I ever pulled for and still do. Becoming a fan of them helped me learn some of history of the sport. They came up with some insane innovations over the years.

I’m shocked at the people commenting on that video. I like Damon Hill and don’t think he said anything wrong. Horner is good at what he does but he is like a scumy politican 75% of the time.

The 92-93 Williams might be my candidate for most awesome F1 car ever.

As a team, I only recently came to understand their downfall, and it lies directly at the feet of Frank Williams and Patrick Head. Even at the time, I thought they treated Damon Hill poorly, but now I know their terrible mismanagement of people in the 90s sent them on a downward trajectory. It started with pissing off Mansell after he won the '92 championship. You could argue that it worked out just fine for '93, but this was just the first symptom of their mismanagement. They hired Frentzen to replace Hill before Hill's '96 championship season even started. And most significantly, they unnecessarily pissed off and lost Adrian Newey, who I consider the single most valuable person in F1 of the last 30 years (on the technical/sporting side, that is: engineers/drivers). Williams saw a bit of a revival with BMW, but they never returned to their early/mid 90s glory. I think Frank was a good guy, just not good at the people-side of management.

Hill can be a wanker sometimes. Think Horner was waiting for the opportunity to go after Hill because of the previous couple weeks. Was Horner's first opportunity not necessarily his best.

Horner looking for a pat on the back after taking 8 years to bring a fight to their rival.

RIP

As a Schumacher fan at Benetton I hated the Williams team but only because their car was near perfection. Damon Hill was good but not great. It was the car and the way Frank Williams ran that team in the mid 90s.

Damon Hill kinda was bitchy about it and put him on the spot. I though Horner responded well.
