Lewis finishing P1 and Max P2 would bring it within 1 point going into a modified Yas Marina (HAM at 368.5 and VER at 369.5), assuming Bottas or Perez gets fastest lap. Let's do this! Max narrowly, and I mean narrowly, out-qualified Merc in 2020 at Yas Marina. He then went on to win by 16 seconds. This could be good. Very good.

Is that his leg or his arm?

That's a chicken leg
I assumed Cyril's leg would be much hairier. He just looks like a hairy French dude.

Reading some of the comments from the drivers, I have little faith in RB this weekend. Comments about this track being the fastest they've encountered will bode well for Hamilton's new engine and straight up speed.
I hope that’s not the case. This new track does look fast from the sims I’ve watched. Be interesting to see how everyone does in P1 tomorrow.

Speaking of...
Saudi Brunch...

Opt for a classic, simple spread, such as flatbread, cheese and date jam, or try the savory shakshuka or the sweet Saudi banana masoub.

dates and qahwa or bread with cheese — the dates and coffee will continue to be enjoyed throughout the day

alcohol is not served in Saudi Arabia, but that doesn’t limit the beverage offerings in the country. Some favorites include fresh juices — everything from hibiscus to orange and mango — and nonalcoholic juice cocktails, as well as qahwa and all types of tea.

Hamilton’s scared of a virus that he has 0% chance of dying from… a virus he got over within 2 weeks earlier this year. And I don’t for one second believe his “still suffering effects”. He’s such a drama queen.
What a perfect Poliboard response. Ted Cruz and Rand Paul or any of the other Trumpian hacks would be proud of that comment. Lewis is afraid of testing positive and not being allowed to race, effectively ending his championship prospects. He is not afraid of dying from COVID if he got it again. You are a fricking moron.

Williams Team Principal Jost Capito has tested positive for Covid-19.

How did they get it ready so quickly?!?

That's not how I read it. Here is the quote.
quote:
"It doesn't matter to the people around me if they miss a day of work," said Mercedes driver Hamilton. "But it can be decisive for us drivers. I see other athletes who are super relaxed about it and don't seem to mind if they get it. That feels strange to me."
Hamilton says there's plenty to be worried about as F1 begins relaxing restrictions.
"Last year it was only six months because of the short season, but now we've had it for almost a whole year," he said. "The rules have been relaxed somewhat in some areas, making it easier to be careless and get into trouble. So you always have to keep it in the back of your mind.
"My way of dealing with social contact is very different now than in the past. Now I keep my distance from everyone and always hold my breath when people are around."

Hamilton, however, says he is battling for the 2021 title while remaining in constant fear of the virus.
"I am still at home alone, but thanks to the experience from the previous year, this can now be managed a little better," Hamlton is quoted by European media outlet Auto Motor und Sport. "But you live in constant fear."
He said fully recovering from COVID, however, made the first half of this season "one of the toughest I've ever experienced."

It turns out that if you have an unlimited budget and slave labor, building an F1 circuit from scratch in six months is possible.

This circuit is fast... Theres going to be a few red flags when Maz and others plow into the walls.

First time I've ever seen an article about sports on CNBC...

It isn’t the role of motorsport to “get involved with political issues,” the leader of the top international auto racing organization said as Formula One faces criticism for allowing a grand prix to go ahead in Saudi Arabia this weekend.
“Motorsport has not to be used as a political platform. That is absolutely essential,” said Jean Todt, president of the FIA, which is Formula One’s governing body.
Human rights groups have urged F1 to use its power to challenge abuses in Saudi Arabia, accusing the sport of ignoring its commitment to equality and diversity. Activists also accuse Formula One of being complicit in “sportswashing” for the Saudi regime.
The penultimate grand prix of the 2021 season takes place on Sunday in the coastal city of Jeddah. It will be the first in a long-term contract for Saudi Arabia to host F1 races. One of the sport’s biggest stars expressed his unease about racing in Saudi Arabia.
