Live in Chicago, have lost power for a few hours several times this winter. Our power grid is just as vulnerable to blizzards, don’t let them tell you otherwise.

Are you trying to say states like NY, Mass. and Illinois never lose power during blizzards and ice storms. Tell you are wrong. They do.

Texas apparently wants the Federal government to come in and straighten their power issues out.

This might be the most ignorant post I've ever seen on this board. That's something.

You said it yourself, these cities that deal with it every year are prepared for it.

Texas has 12,000 MW of wind power out of action... Went too green. Them East Coasters just want you to go Green - not them. They keepin them fossil fuels cause it gets cold as shite up there.

This is a once every 10 year storm. They should not prepare for this. It would be ridiculously expensive to
do that.

And it seems like just about every year or two, there is a "heat wave" in the summer and Chicago and Boston and New York can't keep the power on then either.

Believe me, I’d rather live in a state that has some electrical issues in a once-in-a-decade winter storm event than any of the liberal cesspools that you just listed.

You obviously never spent any summer days up north when it’s above 90 degrees and they have no AC.

Texas legislators will continue with their proposed bill to secede from the Union as soon as they can figure out how to turn their lights back on.

Take a look at the why behind this - I will give you a hint it starts with Washington and ends with DC.

Texas could have powered through this if we didn't have to wait for unelected bureaucrats in DC to give us permission to use OUR capacity.

Its also a southern/Sunbelt state that doesn't get much snow. Hell, the last time it snowed in Galveston was 11 years ago. Yet you expect them to be prepared for this like cold weather cities NY and CHI? GTFO!

You're a moron.
