Anybody still haven’t heard from their job about tomorrow?

I work in Port Allen and I know they are going to shut the bridge down sometime tomorrow but I still have not heard from my job. They will wait to the last second and text us at 5:30 am. I had other people tell me the same thing and a lot of them told me they are not going tomorrow even if their jobs told them to come in.

I got an email around 5 telling us to stay off the roads until conditions improved. I wasn’t going anyway. To much of a risk to make a dollar. Had a steel delivery set up for tomorrow and they were still debating this morning on if they were coming or not. Some people let they production keep them from thinking logically. You jeopardize losing way more than you would gain if something bad happens.

Yeah, losing sleep over it too. I drive all day and the bosses are up north and think our little ice storm is nothing. Unless an official state of emergency is declared, i’ll be driving around the parish all day unless i just refuse to go.

I'm at work right now and all the roads around me are closed. Get off at 6:30am. I guess I'll be the only one on the road. Should be safe. Might have cops try and chase me on closed roads...

We work in Port Allen and decided this morning to tell everyone that we are shutting it down tomorrow. Either your company sucks at communicating, or you didn’t sign up for the employee alert texts.
