It's gonna be a wild week or so in DFW with several rounds of ice before the snow starts Sunday. Could be some significant icing for northern DFW this week. Then significant snow on top next Sunday/Monday. Another round or two of frozen precip later in the week. All of this with very cold temperatures that could bottom out in the single digits next week with rural areas possibly going below 0.

I miss the Dallas TV coverage of events like this. It's nonstop and so dramatic. Rookies posted on overpasses scraping the ground w their feet and breaking icicles from a guardrail. The High 5 footage is always awesome.

Looks like pretty much all snow with some loss in the ratios due to the warm nose some sleet would likely mix in.

The ICON shows a major winter storm developing in Texas and moving towards Louisiana. Stay tuned for the rest of it as it continues to update.

This shows rain across the southern half of the state but it also shows temps well into the 20s at the same time. If this happens, get ready for some major icing.

The GFS agrees with the timing and icing magnitude of the ICON except it’s much colder.
Up to 10 inches of snow/freezing rain/sleet in SWLA and up to 5ish in BR.
