Dude, we only know a fraction of what he’s done and what goes on behind closed doors. If you think all he does is hire football coaches, you’re a fool!

1. He failed to keep Joe Brady
2. Failed to keep Aranda
3. He over payed Bo Pelini by millions
4. Payed Pelini 4 million not to coach
5. Couldn’t seal the deal with Freeman
6. Couldn’t seal the deal with Nielsen

Down vote away but I’m just being honest. It’s been a tough year. Hopefully things get better.

You can't blame an AD when coaches move elsewhere for a promotion.

I agree with that. But it’s an accomplishment when they can keep their talent from leaving. LSU lost the majority of its coaching staff after the national championship.

Did a 5 year old come up with the list?

Most of these are things he has ZERO control over.

slim, this list is just dumb.

I'm harsher on lil SJW scotty than most people here because I want him to be touted as the goat AD like he was.

blaming him for coaches leaving for promotion is dumb.

Bo blaming him for the contract is fine, but getting rid of him was the correct move. the former AD did much worse when he saddled les with a year rent a dc and then failed to fire him.

I don't see how we blame him for failing to seal the deal on two DCs that didn't spurn us for money.

Now him attacking sponsors like a retard should go on the list.

His failure to get in the BOS ears on axing compliance is glaring right now, hopefully he is shrewd enough that we can spin title ix away from football and use it to get compliance in line.

He also managed Wade well unlike the former shite bag AD.

I would prefer him be more vocal about opening back up for LSU sporting events instead of being a JBE lap dog but it is what it is.

Stop the presses!!!!!

Coaches took better opportunities after being in the spotlight all year.

How the hell is that the ad’s fault?

Which one does the AD have zero control over? Does the AD not negotiate contracts with coaches?

Ill give you, the pelini shite, but thats more on O imo.

The rest he has no control over. Brady and aranda got better gigs, hence, out of woodys control.

Freeman and neilson choose other places, again, out of woodys control.

When Woodward was hired he was supposed to be a home run AD. I thought he would be able to recruit top level coaches and retain talent in some situations. Obviously you can’t keep everyone, especially when promotions are offered, but not everyone left for promotions. We have no problem blaming coaches when they can’t seal the deal with a recruit, but it’s not fair to blame the AD when your first two choices listen to your offer, then walk away???

Regardless. I’d rather have him than Aleva. Aleva was too quick to cave in to outside pressure. He threw the Duke Players under the bus, and did the same thing with Wade. He also mishandled the Les Miles situation. He allowed everything to be leaked to the press, then had to back off after the A&M game.

Anything that WW brought in is on Woodward. Alleva was holding his arse accountable and guys like you were hitching.
You have to be a complete brain dead moron to think Wade didnt break the rules

I hear you. But he obviously missed out on the first 2 choices. It’s not like they just didn’t want to come to LSU. There was definitely interest on their part, but it didn’t get done. Not saying it’s all his fault, but, it’s part of his job to get the best coaches possible, and at the end of the day, it didn’t happen.

Let coaches carve their own identity, with no preconceived notions.

Woodward is ALL LSU.

WTF? The Wade saga started before Woodward got here. Alleva screwed the pooch with the suspension then reinstatement. You either fire your coach or support him. Alleva did neither.

But yeah, let's blame the guy who wasn't even here.

In this Covid environment, if he has kept us in the black, and kept all programs viable, he has accomplished plenty.

Home and home with Utah.

"Home" and "home" with Florida St deal was finalized after years of rumors.

Retained Will Wade.

Got our game with Bama rescheduled so that LSU could play all 10 games this past season.
