List smart coaches that would love the opportunity to come in and coach all of these great players.
Best bets as if your money was riding on it:

David Reeves
Glenn Schumann
Jim Leonhard

If they don’t have a direct connection with Louisiana or Pete Carroll then O wont go after them

He was the first name they talked to. He's not leaving Wisconsin. Bama has tried to get him before, so has Texas

yea like Freeman

But part of the reason Freeman went to ND is because of the connections he had over there

Jake Peetz has no connection to LSU, Louisiana, or Pete Carroll

Do we even know if Raymond wants it? Serious question. Everyone always says Raymond. Does he want it? Some guys like what they do and don't want the DC baggage.

All indications are he doesn't want to be DC. That won't stop the "he wants the whole DB room" crowd from demanding he's made DC and we cut two defensive jobs so we can reward Russ Callaway's 6 months of service with a promotion to super offensive coordinator and quarterback coach and a half.

i think CR stopped dangling his toes in the DC market after UGA basically offered him a fake title and he got to be RC. he's apparently happy with having management power in one area

So Freeman was a Carroll disciple or was from Louisiana? I didn't know that.

I wouldn't want it. He is the one coach that can outlast Orgeron if the next 2 seasons don't pan out. If he's promoted he will not be able to escape getting let go. Unless he is some playcalling guru out of nowhere, he will make more money at his current position in the long run.
