Senator John Thune (R-SD) tells Janet Yellen he is concerned about the "massive amount of debt that we continue to rack up" and says "we seem to have no concern" about it.

James Lankford (R-OK) asks Yellen what metric signals debt it too high. She says there's no single metric but one to watch is the interest burden of the debt as a share of GDP. Lankford says we need an earlier warning sign than that.

Rob Portman (R-Ohio) warns against getting "too comfortable" with low interest rates, asks Yellen to be "voice of fiscal sanity within the administration." "

Biden's agenda, if enacted, would massively expand deficit even more than trump and obama.

His proposed tax increases would not even cover 20% of the increase in spending he wants on free college, increased health insurance subsidies, etc.

Republicans are frauds. They rail against things while in the minority and then do absolutely nothing to address those things when they have power.

They are phony representation.

They exist to trick people into thinking there is a choice.

Voting record proves them to be frauds.

I make no bones that I have never cared about either of these as long as our military is the strongest.

I do have some doubts if it is though since trump allowed China to attack us with a biological weapon.

Senate Republicans are so happy they are about to be in the minority again. When they’re in the minority they can complain about deficits to try to get votes without actually having to do much about them.

Amazing how that works.

Always when they are in the minority.

Some haven't lost it. Not saying it was these particular people. But there have been Republicans all along trying to get debt under control.

Unfortunately not many, and fewer still taken seriously.
