Visiting for the first time in a while soon.

-Is everything pretty much open besides bars?

-Are masks mandatory/enforced?

-I see the crime rates have skyrocketed. Is that mostly localized in Scottlandville, Plank Road, GSRI, Garden District, North Gates of LSU, etc?

-Does the traffic still suck or have the shutdowns improved it?

-Do you like living there? Are housing costs up or down?

Lots of stuff.

They got rid of the giant red stick covered in blood and the enemies of the Istrouma tribe. I think it was like, 200 years ago or so? Then this guy named Huey Long built a giant phallic shaped building in its place. Spanish Town folks got pissed that they aren't allowed to put a condom on it for Mardi Gras. Exxon exploded. Some a-hole terrorist shot some cops on Airline Highway. Turns out Ed Ogeron was a good coach afterall.

Oh and then Covid related economic sanctions happened so it sucks just like everywhere else.

Unfinished expansion and construction projects everywhere.

For sale signs everywhere.

Sharon Weston Broome plastered her name all over South Baton Rouge.

Masks are mostly enforced in the city. Not so much in the burbs. Bars are open but they close at 11 I think. Most restaurants are open but not to full capacity.

Traffic is back but not to pre-Rona levels yet. You aren't likely to be a violent crime victim if you stay out of the hood.
