My spouse’s significant other makes more than I do.

Me, and it's not even close. Wife's job is basically a hobby. Hair dresser; she could make a lot more, but she schedules her first client at 10, takes 2 hours for lunch with her friends, then has couple afternoon clients and claims she "worked all day"!!

I made more for the first 13 years or so, she has made more the past couple of years but that was put on my illness then me going back to school. She got a raise this past year that I might not catch up to for a while even when I get out of school. I don't care though, this is a team sport, doesn't matter who scores as long as someone scores.

My wife makes double what I do and I make good money. She also spends 3x what I do so it about washes.

We are generally fairly close though she usually makes more money during the year but my partnership bonus usually puts me over. This year she didn't do nearly as many surgeries or office visits due to COVID so it isn't nearly as close as usual. Being 12 years younger than me means she will almost certainly pass me up in the next few years.

My SO makes more. Every time I catch up to her she gets some kind of promotion.

If the wage gap is real there is no financial incentive to marry a woman

Same. But like someone else said, this is a team sport.

She did up until about a month ago. Now I make a little more. Doesn’t bother me either way.

Damn, we got a lot of “my wife does, but...” answers.

Bunch of insecure dudes.
