Why does this board hate Rick Shiels?

I like his videos and gives lots of good tips. Rick seems like a nice guy..

Shields is ok.
I prefer TXG or Michael Newton for club reviews. Newton is tall and we play similar spec clubs. I can get a good feel review from him and a great tech review from TXG.

TXG is the best. You come away knowing what the club is meant to do and how fitters should be utilizing it. Puts the consumer in a great place.

I think Rick was the one I watched that helped me get the slice out of my driver and I watched quite a few videos. He probably didn't say to do anything differently than the other guys but he put it in a way I could interpret into my swing.
If only he could help me with my boonker shots.

I don't hate Rick. I kinda get mesmerized by the British accent, to be honest. But I wish he would stop saying "massive," or at least not use that word in every other sentence.
I like the TXG guys even better, although watching those videos has created unreasonable expectations for me to go get fit around here.

Was fitted by TXG. Ian and "Matty Boy" are as nice and professional as they appear. Matt is a BEAST of a golfer.

As an older player who’s picking up the game after 25 years off (and I was never taught by anyone to begin with), Rick’s videos have helped me a lot with understanding basic swing mechanics. I hit the ball straighter now, and I can get different effects from my wedges thanks to Rick and a whole lot of practice.

I don’t mind his videos, but something about him just annoys me. I much prefer Peter finch, but it seems like he doesn’t do as much instruction anymore.

Couldn't agree more. He comes off kinda corny to me. It's one of those "I don't understand what I don't like about this, but my body is telling me I don't." I have lots of friends who watch him and like him, just not for me
