Haven't been to either in years and neither stands out.
I spent the holidays in Laffy.
Because of the Dr. Pepper shake at Whataburger thread here, I went to the Ambassador location just to try the shake.
It was pretty early, but of course the shake machine was already off and no more shakes that night.

A regular burger at shake shack is like triple the price of a burger at in n out; its a different price point. Comparing in n out to shake shack is like comparing Taco Bell to chipotle.
In n out should he compared to other fast food burgers like McDonald’s, Burger King, Carl’s, etc.

Both burgers are good but in and outs fries are absolute trash.

Not impressed by either. I do like that In N Out is clean and the staff are friendly (similar to Chick-fil-A)
