If snow is falling between Alexandria and Winnfield they’re getting hammered right now

And between Many and Mansfield

Idk, they were in the blue earlier and weather app saying snow, but looks like houston’s right on the edge of rain/snow line. Wanted confirmation from someone there

The band between Many and Mansfield is heading right for Monroe if it stays together

No snow in Houston proper (spring branch area). Had sleet a little while ago though.

Should be driven by some frontal forcing aloft, so ought to work its way to you as the low moves north and the trough keeps moving in.

Might miss the max but plenty good enough to splash some barbecue sauce around.

Back to rain South BR. Not sure how it works but upper levels must be fluctuating. You can hear the difference

Wow that is insane. I need to google snow records for La. I'm sure there probably won't be any records broken but would still be interesting to see how it compares (if it indeed reaches 10").

Edit: from a quick google without clicking any links, it looks like Shreveport had 11" snow in the 1929 or so. New Orlean's greatest 24 hour period was 5" in 1895. How accurate that is remains to be seen but either way interesting. I hope Nola and BR get hit with some snow.

The Winter Weather Advisory has been expanded to include Hardin County as well as southern portions of Jasper and Newton counties in Texas and Beauregard, Allen, and Evangeline parishes in Louisiana until 8:00 AM CST Monday. A trace up to 1 inch of snow is possible. #txwx #lawx
