Mentally, he's soft. He's a big kid who quit when it got hard. That sure as hell isn't toughness.

So my question is if LSU gets hit hard by sanctions over this Title IX shite do they drop the hammer on some of these opt outs that took cash under the table? Because you know it happens and LSU can't be happy about throwing money out the window.

Tell us again where Joe Burrow started his college football career.

Tell us again why we hired Orgeron given the numerous things he quit on.

Arik Gilbert is a talented football player. His decision to leave LSU football was prompted by financial reasons. He simply made the decision that if he stayed with a losing program (LSU) his chances of getting drafted by an NFL team was greatly deminished.

Repeat after me TigerNation. Playing for a winning collegiate football program means success in NFL recruiting. Playing for a losing troubled collegiate football program carries the potential for a crushing dissapointment at NFL drafting time.

Arik Gilbert is only acting in his best interest. I don't blame him.

Good luck Arik!

Hmm. Must be why there are no NFL players from Tennessee in the league.

Did I call Gilbert a quitter?
Maybe I’m just pointing out that they both made a business decision.

Cracks me up most of you are trashing the player when you should be trashing the coach who is the one responsible for that player leaving. Why would any player stick round for this shite show?

To the players this is their job and career. In the real world if you work for a shite show company you change companies.

Stop with all the purple and gold rah rah bullshite and look at it from the players point of view for once in your miserable existences.

Yup.

the situations are not even close to the same though. AG was starting as a freshmen. Would be a better look to just remain on team for a few weeks but have a "pulled" hamstring

Is it possible he was worried about catching COVID before the vaccine is out? Isn't that what the opting out is for? Perhaps he has an elderly parent or grandparent that he doesn't want to kill when he goes home for Christmas.

Don’t think he is as far as we know that was O’s words and we all know how much he lies... the defense is already better than the defense we had last year ... we gonna get it fixed. The man is grasping at straws doesn’t know how to lead a program has to have great assistants around him. Losing Aranda was huge. We won the National Championship. He gets devoured right after goes on fox , writes a book does 60 mins and dated a way younger girl that Derek P took the pic of. He’s all about marketing himself we need to fire his arse now and hire a big name coach.
