Some of you guys can't see past your purple and gold glasses. He's quitting LSU. Either O is a lying a-hole about him saying he was tired or whatever or that's the excuse he gave O.

I’d be more ok if it was an immediate move into the transfer portal. This is chickenshit.

Likely has to do it for waiver purposes.

I’m so tired of college football and this generation of athletes

They are all tucking pussies

Oh let me opt out. Oh let me quit

Oh imma sit out a year.

Not just Gilbert all of them.

And if stingley just decides to not play next year I’m just out

everyone in college football better strap up if and when the one year transfer rule is waived for first time transfers, especially teams with elite blue chip recruits who aren't getting the PT they think the "deserve" their freshman seasons as well as G5 schools with good players that weren't heavily recruited out of high school. At least most coaches have buyouts for leaving under contract and professionals don't get paid if they decide to "opt out." There are no mitigating factors whatsoever for college athletes wanting to transfer and play elsewhere immediately if all this comes to pass. The transfer prostal was bad enough, but the NCAA is seemingly trying to destroy college football with every move they've made the past several years.

Say whatever you want about his reputation or being soft etc. the kid was a beast on the field when he got the ball. No one will remember this if he goes on to produce on the field for the next two years.

Let me qualify no one other than LSU fans will remember this if he goes on to produce on the field for the next two years.

Don't be a dumbass. Burrow never quit in the middle of a season, and was up front after graduating that he was looking for a starting job.

I swear. It's a shite show. The opt out stuff is straight crap. Call it was it is, it's quitting. opt out before the season if you want, anything else is ridiculous.

His arse should have to sit out 2021 unless he’s comes back to LSU. I hope he comes back.

a week or 2 into practice...how is that anywhere near the same as a starter quitting with 2 games left?
