Russian officials are warning citizens to avoid alcohol for two months after receiving the country’s COVID-19 vaccine — tough-to-swallow news for one of the world’s heaviest-drinking countries.

The warning came from Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatiana Golikova, who said in an interview that Russians will have to observe extra precautions during the 42 days it takes for the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine to become effective.

“[Russians] will have to refrain from visiting crowded places, wear face masks, use sanitizers, minimize contacts and refrain from drinking alcohol or taking immunosuppressant drugs,” Golikova told TASS News Agency.

I quit drinking over 21 months ago and that crap is one thing I don't miss about drinking. My body did not get along with that juice.

Didn’t Putin come out and claim Russia had developed their own vaccine like two months ago? So yes you will probably not take whatever the hell they’re giving their people.

So, the vaccine doesn't work, if you have a drink?

So will the vaccine be doing anything if the people really do all of this? Vaccine may get the credit for the other stuff.

Russia has a serious alcoholism problem. Their govt is just trying to kill 2 birds with one vaccine. Our vaccine warnings will include no fast food/junk food for 6 weeks.
