All I could think about with the Dark Troopers was Iron Man

And maybe I missed it, but I thought Timothy Olyphant’s character had Boba Fetts armor?

Finally... alas poor Razor Crest, we knew you well. I should have been worried after they released all of those "making of the Razor Crest" videos.

I’m now really excited I found the Lego set on Black Friday and paid retail price for it.

Enjoyable episode, though the short run times are getting more irritating, especially given the shorter season.

I figured that someone would capture the kid again. I'm sure it will be fairly regular, and I suspect that he might become evil at some point, even if only for a while. The tiny little shackles were a bit much, though.

I liked the ship, so I'm sorry to see it go, but he can likely buy another one with the spear he salvaged. I think the boss lady on the last planet said almost exactly that, in fact.

They've introduced a lot this season, so the finale isn't likely to solve much of anything. I expect for them to get the kid back and reveal new characters, like a new villain and possibly a jedi. Hopefully, it will be a longer episode that the previous ones.

I still think Cara might be the "source" Gideon mentions, and that could tie into my theory that she is killed in the finale. That would certainly explain why Carano dgaf about saying based shite on twitter. Someone has to be the source, and there are few choices.

The source is the one who put the tracker on Mandos ship and spotted Grogu. That’s the source

I agree we probably won’t get much closure in the finale. Maybe a glimpse off Adm Thrawn, maybe Mace. I really hope it isn’t back and forth with Groga. I hope they get him back, fight off the Empire while helping a Jedi give Groga safe haven. Maybe not in that exact way but at least some good closure to the whole journey. I’d want to see this series end in place of another series like a Ahsoka or Bo Katan.

Why? There’s still a ton of stuff that could be covered through Mando.

I feel like this ends with mando fighting gideon (they have the spear for a reason) but losing. Then ashoka who was secretly rounding up all her mandalorian friends, shows up at the last minute for a true lightsaber battle.

Then 2 things happen
1.) either gideon dies and bo katan gets the saber or gideon gets away and flees to mandalore. Either way boba and/or mando and all the mandalorians that show up leave to free mandalore.

2.) Grogu tells Ahsoka he connected with Ezra (they meditate together and see him) and then she leaves to find him. Or he could just show up warning about Thrawn.

Not sure where that leaves Grogu. He obviously isnt going anywhere. They may just end that storyline with Mando hearing about Luke and heading to the new republic. I say that because the thought is the Mandalorian is supposed to take a year off and allow for the boba and Ahsoka spinoffs to run. Maybe Ahsoka takes him, but I just can’t see them separating him from Mando. So they may both take a break.

Season 3 is already in production.

I do think the end will have Bo Katan show up as we know she is looking for the dark saber. His spear will help him defeat Gideon since the saber can not harm the spear. Bo Katan and the other Mandolorians will show up with maybe Ashoka and help kill off the dark troopers. I am assuming that a jedi, possibly Ezra will come and take Grogu in the final episode after Gideon dies and in the final scene Thrawn will arrive as the new villain for season three.

Would be cool to see the Ghost show up and/or Sabine in the end as well.

All just speculation but we can hope.

The best thing that episode did was make Boba a real Mandalorian and a badass again.

Didn't Mace kill Jango Fett? That would be awesome to see a Jedi come in and be at odds with the group.

Would like to see the ghost on camera.

Well if they are setting up Ezra being the one to answer Grogus call, then perhaps that may be Mando’s new home for season 3 with Thrawn coming into the picture.

One thing though, no way the New Republic doesn’t respond to a threat like Thrawn. Like the full might of the fleet, Ackbar and Rouge squadron and everyone.

This was made by Lucasfilm under Disney.

The Clone Wars episode that says Jango wasn’t was made under George Lucas.

Yea I’m not saying end it this season, just don’t want a ton of back n forth with the empire taking Grogu. And it being a repeating retrieval scenario.

Well, keep in mind that the Empire didn't totally go away, they reorganized under Thrawn and reduced reach.

That is not current cannon. We have no idea what happens to Thrawn after he and Ezra jump into Hyperspace into the Unknown regions.

Also, Moffs are primarily political figures. The extent of their military presence are generally small units that they have command over to defend the systems they are over.

Moffs were not primarily political positions. There is no such thing in the Empire.. Moffs were supreme rulers in their sectors. They were Commander in Chief of the military assets in their sectors and reported directly to the Emperor after Yavin. They were at the top of the chain of command. Remember that Moff Jerrjerrod was the supreme commander of the imperial navy at Endor.

Gideon's background was Imperial Security Bureau, not politics.

quote:

I think a light cruiser is probably right for a Moff, except maybe for a Grand Moff, and if Moffs with light cruisers are around it's probably a decent suggestion that the Empire is becoming organized again.

The Moffs we have seen on screen were in charge of the Death Star (Tarkin), A Super Star Destroyer and the Death Star II (Jerrjerrod).

A cruiser is right for a trip between bigger ships or a planet and a bigger ship. Like I said if it is his command ship he is small potatoes.
