All you people who said "Look on Biden's website" and even provided some links can you quote anywhere on there about the $200 tax??
I didn't read it all line by line but I perused through the whole thing and didn't see that part. I even did a search on the page and didn't see anything about the specific amount of the tax on guns or magazines.
Directly from his website:
“ Buy back the assault weapons and high-capacity magazines already in our communities. Biden will also institute a program to buy back weapons of war currently on our streets. This will give individuals who now possess assault weapons or high-capacity magazines two options: sell the weapons to the government, or register them under the National Firearms Act.”
What happens when you “register” something under the NFA? Hint: tax stamp.

In other words you're to lazy to click on the link on Biden's website that takes you to Giffords site that talks about registering them through the NFA and paying $200 stamp.
Gotcha...

Don't y'all even conjugate?
Yes. Past tense. I never said I have them now, nor did I say I ever HAD them in the past. Again, it's all hypothetical at this point.

Currently, the National Firearms Act requires individuals possessing machine-guns, silencers, and short-barreled rifles to undergo a background check and register those weapons with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Due to these requirements, such weapons are rarely used in crimes
Or, you know, could it be that the people that own these sorts of firearms and go through the process of owning them are good, law-abiding citizens that wouldn't commit crimes anyway?

They took Canadians guns. Better hide them now or make up fake gun sale receipts to fake people.

Biden’s plan will not allow manufacturers to skate like the AWB in ‘94.

There are more guns than people in this country. They might find it to be a tougher task than they believe it to be.

They want every magazine over 10 rounds to require a $200 tax stamp

The AR15 ect they are after are not what is used in most shootings. They go after those first and you are blind if you don’t think pistols are next. And none of that is going to do anything about gun crime. Criminals don’t care about laws. It’s punishing the law abiding citizens for some feel good laws.

Exactly. Biden’s attack on ARs will do nothing to curb all the handgun crime that plagues inner cities. The vast majority of those shootings are done by people who are already outlawed from gun ownership.

Damn bro... I specifically said that I "perused" the document that was linked and several people said "IT'S RIGHT THERE ON HIS WEBSITE".
It was NOT in fact on his website but on a link. There are 3-4 linked words in half of the paragraphs. "Peruse" means that I did not click on every link.
That is why I was asking if someone could point me in the right direction to where the $200 part came in. Some people did just that and you chose to call me lazy because I am at work and don't have time to click on 50 links on the Joe Biden website.

Long arms are involved in what, just 1.5% or 3% of shootings deaths?

BIDENS CRAZY GUN PROGRAM IS SCARY
If he tries it, and I fully expect he will, it will be decided (or likely thrown out) in the Supreme Court but not before historic lopsided blowout losses for the democrats in 2022.
There's no way they can logistically institute gun grabs in two years and no, law enforcement is not going to just do as they're told and kick in citizens doors looking for legally owned forearms.
It will be worse if you live in a liberal city of state, but overall you know what you're dealing with if you live there.

But this is one of those times where it's probably warranted.
Let's assume for the sake of argument that Biden does take office, and further that he got a decent amount of votes from gun owners- people who, for whatever reason, chose to vote for him over Trump and yet still own firearms.
A gun ban like '94, where if you had them in time it was okay, but you couldn't get stuff afterwards- that would be bad enough. But then you get a lot of folks who 'beat the rush', both then, and given firearms sales this year, now.
But his plan to eliminate grandfathered items, and to retroactively force people to register (on a registry, as well as pay for tax stamps)- that's a nightmare. A whole lot of people will probably say "Oh, I didn't want that. Heck, I just went out and bought one this May"...
and you know what? No excuse. He didn't hide it. He didn't say he wouldn't, or even not say anything about it at all; he directly stated he WOULD.
Saying "I didn't know anything about it" isn't an excuse, when the info is out there in plain sight.
