Large company on the cusp of making billions of dollars on product says product is really good and has no negative features. More at 11.
FDA approval is focused on product safety.
I'd be more concerned that the vaccine isn't as effective as they say than the possibility the vaccine may cause injury or harm.

And as I said in the other thread, we're about to have a President that has vowed to listen to him. Surely you see the difference.

Or, perhaps, the people who don't want to take it are choosing not to do so because they don't perceive the "reward" POTENTIAL protection from a virus that carries a less than 1/2 of 1% risk of death outweighs the risk (it will still be a largely unproven vaccine on a mass scale).
how do so many people still not understand herd immunity?

Politicians vow lots of things. We also have checks and balances in our government.

Well those have done a lot for limiting the power of people choosing to exert it during the pandemic

Well, its a good thing that no pharmaceuticals given the go ahead by the FDA have ever been proven to be harmful.

doing what? stating facts?

so do you think even after widespread distribution of the vaccine that we will still have widespread mask mandates?
also, Fauci only recommended masks be worn even after the vaccine
just like Trump only recommended the lockdowns

However, to suggest that the pharma companies are somehow lying to the public about safety or efficacy doesn't make any sense to me.
There is no question they want to develop an effective vaccination. One, that would probably be the most famous in the history of humanity (given the amount of attention to this virus). Failure would be a massive PR blow. But the financial fallout of such MAY be limited. The US government has agreed to broadly indemnify and hold harmless the manufacturers.
quote:
To promote swift action by the private life sciences sector, the US Department of Health & Human Services (“HHS”) has conferred broad immunity on vaccine and therapy manufacturers for development activities relating to COVID-19. HHS’s immunity, issued as a Notice of Declaration under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (the “PREP Act”), protects companies manufacturing, distributing, and administrating countermeasures against COVID-19, excepting only willful misconduct.
While understandable from pharma companies' perspective, that's also a BIG safety net for them to work with. It makes it a bit easier to make boastful (qualified) claims if you know you have a large degree of immunity conferred by congress.

That's my biggest problem with this whole pandemic situation in America. If Fauci and the CDC had been consistent with their message from day 1 I'd be 100% on board with them. The fact is they were and are not....that is why I fault no one for making their own decision on gatherings, masks, vaccines, pretty much anything virus related.
Posted on 11/18/20 at 8:56 am to Alt26
To me that reads as a protection from getting sued out of business if a few people die.....I don't think they can recover stuff like lost sales/profits under the PREP Act.

They get to inject whatever nanotech they’ve been working on in every us citizen with no questions. Who knows what info this will give them and to what end?
They can and do get more info from your cell phone than they could possibly get from an implant in your body.

It is remarkable. It is one of the greatest achievements in human history and our retarded (meant literally) population is saying they won't take it even after 10s of thousands of trial patients
A

ZERO
So why would any sane parent give their kid a vaccine with no research on them for children, with the virus itself poses virtually Zero risk to children.

Any info on how big the tracking chip in the vaccine will be?

Now this misinformation should be deleted.

First of all, almost all of those childrent in that trial will be 16-17, a handful will be 12
And the total will be around 100 or so
So I stand by my case, they have zero real research on this virus at all as it relates to children.
The test will be the roll out. Yeh, a big frick no to that for me
