How many years did Les coach without an offense before he got fired I ask?

How many losing seasons did Les have? Inaccurate comparison.

O is fireproof for at least three years.

his buyout is too large, does he move Pelini to another position or into administration? I can't see him leaving Pelini in charge of the defense because it's clear the players and fanbase have lost all faith in him. IMO, keeping Pelini would be committing career suicide!
and who'll coach the defense?

O is done as the LSU head football coach; he just doesn't know it yet.

Personally, I think O's seat gets real warm immediately if Pelini isn't fired during the offseason.

If O lands a top drawer recruit class he is fine. There will still be heat on Pelini if he is not gone. Bear in mind Pelini could come out next year and post numbers same as Aranda and the The Rant will still want his scalp...

Dont take that as defending Bo or wanting him to stay. Just sayin, such is the nature of The Rant.

There is no excuse for a program like LSU to be getting embarrassed like they have been. The whole program has failed miserably this year and that all falls on Os shoulders because he is the HC. He gets the credit for building last years team and he also gets the blame for this pathetic team this year.

It should get as warm as the inside of a 96 Pontiac parked in the middle of a Walmart parking lot in Slidell for six days in September.

O is the worst coach in Ole Miss history, so it is unsurprising that he is producing the worst season in recent LSU history. He has not proven to be an elite coach over the long haul.

What is surprising is that he also led the best season in LSU history. He hit the jackpot with Brady and Burrow, which is commendable but seemingly an unsustainable model since he can’t coach anything above DL by himself.

O went as far as Burrow took him. All other things being equal if you replace Joe with any other qb on the roster does 2019 unfold the same way. No.

His seat could get warm with another terrible season, but firing/not firing an assistant won’t have that affect.

You are incorrect, sir

In Les’s 11 full seasons, his WORST record was 8-5. That said, O will have no say in firing Bo. That goodwill is gone. And why in the world would Bo take a deal to bounce when he is owed so much money regardless. Like it or not, COVID has given most teams an coaches a mulligan. And coming off the greatest season in CFB history, O is fine. I’d be shocked if Pelini is not back next year, and with the new players and the returning ones getting better, if the defense wasn’t much improved next year. Bo has a chance to regroup, re-analyze, and go into next season much more prepared. If he sucks next year, he throws the deuces and falls on the sword for Ed. If Ed isn’t competing for championships again in ‘22, then he’s probably out.
