I agree - I grew up in the ‘80s/‘90s but we weren’t allowed to watch that stuff - I know the movies from the 40s, 50s and 60s better - which blows my husbands mind
I made him watch An Affair to Remember and he really liked it - I want him to watch Roman Holiday but he won’t bc it’s black and white - I also wanted him to watch Zorba the Greek but it’s a no go
He’d probably watch God Created Woman

It's really interesting to watch them reference Vietnam and Pearl Harbor. Because the first season was in 1980 so those events were only 10 and 40 years previous, but watching today, they were 40 and 80 years ago.
